There were proposals because they hadn't been finalised so that was clearly the time to try and influence them, make suggestions for changes or add ons such as early renewals and listen to the debate for and against early renewal discounts.
Sorry if you find it insulting but I find it insulting that the FF keep saying "we weren't given a chance to comment" when I went out of my way to stress to you all how important the various committees were in influencing decision making and made sure the the papers were released to all of you not just Gary.
OK, the FF is new and is still feeling it's way around how the Club works so put this one down to experience and learn for next season don't keep going on about "being flabbergasted".

Why would the club apologise then?
Sorry, but I think you're ciriticising the Forum for doing exactly what they should be doing. Your last paragraph is needlessly harsh Any agenda, here?
If you care to read what I said, the club were aware that we wanted to comment on what was being proposed.................before they issued the prices.
They went ahead and issued the pricing structure on the day of the meeting, even though it was clearly on the agenda agreed a week before hand....we got an apology.....do I need to be any clearer than that?.......Im not into argueing for argueings sake....these are the facts, dont try and make anything further out of it and what was proposed in January was a fair way off what was actually issued, and we played no part in that.
He is under contract until June 2010....no decisions have been made one way or another, we will have to wait and see mate.....the club are going through a really tough time at the moment what with all the sad redundancies (some of which are very close to home) and a massive cost cutting excercise....every area of the business is being reviewed...and I cant emphasise enough when I say every area.....

understand all that but the Manager of the football team is quite an important position at a Football Club and we need to know one way or another if he is staying or going.
My own opinion is that I dont think we (as fans) will sway it one way or another...there wasnt any mass demonstrations at any home games...its not really the Charlton way is it?

Yes, my agenda is I want the FF to be a big success.
And yes contributing on Season Ticket prices is exactly what they should be doing. The argument is about the best way of going about that now and in the future.

I don't think the club are obligated or in fact need to tell us that Parky is "Staying", the facts are he has a contract until 2010, I cannot see him going anywhere if the present board remain, they appointed him and will stand by him.
However is there is a takeover there is a good chance the new people will want there own man so he may be relieved of his duties in which case there will be an annoucement.
Personally I think he will be in the dug out come the first game of the season.

well, he was appointed Manager to the end of the season ONLY so either a) he reverts to assistant manager or b) they have to tell us that he has been reappointed Manager or c) sack him. His contract to 2010 is as Assistant Manager not Manager.
As an outsider and reading all the above posts and both sides of what has now seemingly become an argument, my thoughts are that if the FF got the proposals, went away to get feedback and then arranged for it to be on the agenda at the April 2nd meeting, only for the club to then came out and do what they wanted anyway, and for this the club apologised, how exactly Henry can you blame the FF?

For what it's worth that my take on it to, just couldn't be bothered to type it all !!
There isnt an arguement....just let it drop.....maybe just a misunderstanding. Lets just get on with supporting the club....get out and order your season ticket today!!!
I can see that Mr Irvings general point(obviously gatherered from previous experiance) is that if you let the club dictate the agenda they might not take any notice, or indeed find ways of working round it and the only way to get things really done is to be a tad more forceful and proactive.
