Commentator reading interesting programme notes by Dean Kiely on 'what went wrong with Charlton?' First 10 sounded all Coventry, but Addicks getting into it more- ZZ and Jonjo to the fore. Bailey shoots over from 30 yds
[cite]Posted By: Oakster[/cite]How many of this starting eleven do you reckon will start the opening game in August?
I can only be certain of Elliot and probably Sam & Youga.
Obviously we have no idea if Butterfield, Ward and Kandol will be here.
Then there's Zheng out of contract and on a decent wage. Hudson I'm not sure, but I doubt we can afford his wages in League One.
Then there's the three we all want to keep, Racon, Bailey and Shelvey. I hope we do, but clubs will be looking at all of them.
That's the worrying thing - despite this late improvement it's highly likely Parky is going to have a major rebuilding job on his hands this summer. He obviously doesn't rate the youth too much as they would be playing instead of the loanees at this forlorn stage.
Thanks Solar. Have managed to get into cafctv but its this other thing I dont know about. Have never had that come up before when I have used it at home. Am getting more annoyed by the minute !
[cite]Posted By: Off_it[/cite]Apparently, according to the bloke on SkySports just now, we could actually get relegated today. Well I never - glad he told me.
Really been watching for an hour hadnt heard that yet.

Who is there to play? Wright and Yussuff are getting more experience out on loan than they would here (and we have a lot of midfielders), Wagstaff hasn't shown enough when he's had a chance. Arter has only just come back and there is just too much competition to go and drop any of the midfielders playing at the moment.
I'd like to see Solly get a couple of games (maybe we'll look to sign Butterfield though?), Steve Gritt has said himself Solly deserves a chance.
He's obviously hoping to keep four of the five midfielders playing (probably not Zheng), and midfield is where most of our older youth players play.

Will be interesting to see if Ward signs on permanently - he would be a great asset next season

Interview with Ward in the paper today.
I don't think he will be with us next season.
He thinks he should be playing for Wolves, no outright mention of not staying, but the tone of the piece suggested this was a loan only.

...........
Would you expect him to say anything else? He's employed by Wolves and would like to be playing for them next year, whether it's in the Prem or CCC it'll be at a higher level and at better wages than we can offer him, but that aside, he has to be loyal to his employer.
Besides Solly whom you mention, Harry Arter is just back from being loaned out - why recall him if there is no intention of playing him? Plus there is Tuna.
I'd like to see all three get some playing time, even if it's coming off the bench for ten minutes or so.

Hopefully Racon too.

Technically we aren't down yet and until we are I think he's right not to play too many of the youth team.
Really been watching for an hour hadnt heard that yet.
Calm down Clive, you'll end up giving yourself a heart attack!
