Just heard that in the antics leaving the ground, a female Charlton fan had to be taken to hospital after being knocked out by a bottle to the back of her head.
Thats why pompey call them scummers, they crossed the picket line back in the day going into pompey and thats what they have been doing ever since................. SCUMMERS!!!
Chicago, they called it on a few years back and got a hiding but could'nt handle it, since then its been (as henry would say) a 'high risk' match.
Hope the lady comes through o.k. and is'nt too seriously hurt, that is out of order.
I left sharpish after the game with my lad as we needed to get to the station. There were a few herberts hanging around and I could see it was likely to turn ugly. I assume this all goes back to the Maze Hill stuff. I came down by train from Woking and got chatting with a Saints fan. He said that they have got quite a nasty bunch who like a rucking. I was surpised at the lack of effective segregation during the game and also that they didn't have a complete lock in at the end!

A small section of the Charlton fans were an absolute disgrace! Some of them were clearly there to cause trouble."

That was my personal favourite, found it quite amusing as 200+ Saints were waiting outside armed with bottles, coins, bricks etc and yet somehow we are getting the blame,
'Why are Charlton allways up for a fight' lol wish he was talking abouth our team on the whole this season! Also why did the police pin cafc up against the stadium with no chance of defending themselves?
LOL this thread. Same old shit every game with them. I have to say I've seen plenty of stupidity from some of our 'fans' this season as well - like the poor old dear on the train at Charlton getting hit with a bottle against Burnley, or the four brave souls kicking the shite out of a lone scarfer at London Bridge. Its all pathetic - no matter which side its from - posting bollocks about it on a messageboard certainly helps things though eh - get everyone riled up for next time we play them.

Something is seriously wrong with that lot.....
Funny how a lot of people 'hear' about this stuff, but very few 'see' it.....

Clearly something went on. Far too many commenst on this and other threads for it to be a "non-event".
To be honest it is so old its laughable, if people want to defend themselves if attacked fair enuff, but going looking for it nowadays is embarassing.

Have mentioned something along these lines before. There was a thread on here before the Southampton home game which had various people explaining what was going to happen before and after the game.
If people want to big up this sort of bollocks they should piss off to Paul Dodd.com and play keyboard warriors with all the other twats on that site.
My brother in law went to QPR V Palarse yesterday and said it kicked off outside the ground after the game. Frankly it's all getting very silly again and clearly this sort of thing is on the increase after a number of years. With instant play back on youtube of the incidents, with websites and mobiles phones allowing things to be arranged and then calling it on.
I thought the stuff about "your skint and you know you are" and waving £20 notes at them whilst a wind up, was in pretty bad taste. People shouldn't forget that our club has been bankrupt once and but for the current crop of Directors dipping their hands in again, it could be us with the begging bowls.
"at the end of the day charlton fans f***ing sh*t themselves when we surrounded them if the police wasnt there you'd of got ripped apart same as for the lot that were sat in the coaches i suggest you dont ever come back unless you have a deathwish! "
i am surprised by the lack of condemnation on here, maybe if the saints fans had smashed the rbs windows we'd have more to say. i guess the sitting/standing issue is much more important though. i hope the lady is ok.
I rather thought that they had done a pretty good job of condemnation all by themselves. I don't know if the story of the woman getting knocked unconcious is true or not, if it is true, then presumably the police will be called in? I also hope she is OK if it is true.
I was there, seen a lot worse...never once felt threatened or afraid. The Charlton that were there looked like they could handle it and broke out from the police once and Saints shit it! Bloke walking next to me copped a stone on the head made me wince a bit but he was OK...bet he has a bump today!
Thought the police handled it pretty well considering they had our lot trying to break out of the escort and them trying to get at us...praise for the police on this occasion
After the police pushed Charlton back into the ground | saw an oldish lady being wheeled out the ground on a stretcher. I'd imagine this was the same incident as AFKA mentioned.
This all goes back to before Maze Hill, MH was just the highlighted incident, it is now a game that will attract the firms of both sides, it happens between certain clubs, that would otherwise have no real rivalry due to location etc, and its been building now for 6-7 years.
[cite]Posted By: Ledge[/cite]geezer called EuroBoss on youtube giving it the right large about the people on coaches shitting themselves when they attacekd.
I've had a go back saying easy having a go at Scarfers and kids and he reckons it was a majority of boys on the coach. So funny.
Ledge, do me a favour and tell him that one of those was Henry Jnr. So well done Euroboss you scared a 10 year old. You must be so proud. How hard you are to have taken on a coach from the safety of the street outside when the police are a few yards away. And when the police came and pushed them away they all dutifully went.
There were no "boys" on the coach unless he means real boys ie 10 years of age but to pathetic arsewipes like him that will still count as a victory to boast about.

Charlton defended each other today and did themselves proud.

PS - don't know if Paul Dodd still exists.

Next season looks fun!
What a helmet. It's all pathetic really.
utter scum in my opinion.
