[cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]Are you one of those people that think that cos people are northern monkeys that means they can't cope with forms and numbers even if they they sign on and claim benefits.
You'll be moaning about immigrants from Poland next ;-)
With a surname like mine, I ain't complaining about immigrants from Poland.
I would suspect with most of our support coming through the fine educational establishments in Bexley, they should have the brightness to book tickets on mass.
I went to a school in Greenwich, so I've got no hope
[cite]Posted By: PeakeysRocket[/cite]isn't this a lot of aggro for one game a season?
YES!
Seems way over the top to start coming up with all these complicated schemes for one or two games a season. Doesn't sound to me like the club is too far wrong here, they just need to give 4-stub fans equal priority to the Vagos.
With a vital game at Boro coming up, I suppose they could have given first dibs to anyone also buying a ticket to that game.

Now he's having a go at people from Greenwich as well as northerners!
[cite]Posted By: WestStandSinger[/cite]This thread is more popular than the one when it was announced Dowie was leaving!
mainly because, i think, there is something clearly wrong with the current system, and the club has overcomplicated things by making hasty decisions that haven't been properly thought out, or properly flagged to the supporters.
We are still talking about the management team, right ?
:-)
On a serious point, these are exactly the sort of debates that the club should be seeing to assist them, and where forums such as this should work to their advantage, if they so wish them to.

sounds perfect to me. something simple and fair for all. those that pay £120 for priority for 1 or 2 games, and those that go to games that season and keep stubs/proof etc.
[cite]Posted By: AFKA Bartram[/cite]this forum is very widely followed within the club, which is down to the sensible posts, suggestions, praise and moans that you lot put on it.
If the club were not following debates such as this, then they are not doing their job properly.
I think RAM may be more of a Netaddicks man. Sorry. I'll ask if he's seen the light yet.
I'm sure Ketman's dad must be aware of CL and I look occasionally.
As we are principally talking about away tickets here, perhaps our focus should be on expanding and utilising the Official Supporters Club?
Thereby you can only be guaranteed tickets for away matches, regardless of whether you travel with them or not, as a member of CASC. I suspect England fans are dealt with in the same manner.
As the membership numbers of this club isn't likley to match the same as Season Ticket holders, the logistics of operating a reward scheme are greatly reduced and I would have thought easily manageable.
This way, whether you are a season ticket holder, VG member or platipus card holder, if you are a regular traveller by booking your tickets through CASC, you are guaranteed a ticket for the bigger games. I wouldn't have thought the numbers would exceed 1,000 - 1,500, especially at the moment and CASC, might just have a legitimate reason for being there and grow as a result.
113 posts on this subject - sorry, make this 114 now - RIDICULOUS!!!
Going back to my point before, it seems only Suzi has actually fallen foul of the current system personally, out of how many contributors? I think that just about sums it up - it's too much hassle given the size of the "problem".
[cite]Posted By: Rothko[/cite]The Supporters club doesn't run travel anymore, it's all done via the club.
Anyway, the club spent a small fortune on a new computer system last year, which can do what do the tracking of supporters away travel.
I now it doesn't and that is partly my point. For the club to monitor away travel and add a reward scheme, it has to do so using the entire season ticket holder/Vg/Red Card fan base, which in total I suspect at it's peak runs into 20,000 or so. Now I have no idea what system was installed, but I wouldn't mind betting that it would need additional software costs to manage the extra work and requirements of a reward scheme.
If away ticket membership/allocation only, was engineered through CASC, (or the club equivelant thereof) it would only need to monitor 1,500 or less and you could do that on an excel spreadsheet.
I've reminded the club about this and it is on the agenda but there are other priorities for the bedding in of the IT system. It will be able to record info for an allocation scheme when the criteria are set but it won't be till next season.

... how about A-Quiet_Les or Reed_the_table ?
At what stage should 'the common man' start panicking ?

CASC wouldn't be able to handle such a scheme.
But didn't Varney recently say that we'd be closing down more academies? Haven't we already closed a couple?
No, he was speculating about Premiership academies in general.
