Thanks for this....if it's true it's made me happy. Well as happy as I can be, stuck at work on a Saturday until 8pm! :-(
  • Nice to see someone saying their source said he's staying. It's usually a source saying he's leaving.
  • Oggster you have heard the same as me bud
  • What's the point of having him stay unless we play him?
  • because we will get years worth of player rather than just this one season He is the one player who can inspire the changes we need
  • After the pre-match warm up today Jono came across & spoke to one of our lady supporters by the side of the pitch. She grabbed him by the arm & asked him a question. I was too far away to hear what she said but he nodded his head & said yes. She then turned round to her friends nodding her head vigorously, saying "he said yes" & pumping her fists. I can only assume that she had asked him if he was staying at Charlton. Given that she was in her 60s, I am struggling to think what else she could have asked him!! LOL.

Because we want to save him for games where he can be his most effective. There's not a lot of point playing him against Northern Cloggers that are going to kick him up in the air as soon as look at him, and risk crocking him til the end of the season. Better to play him against teams where he gets room to play and can show what he's capable of.

she might have asked if she could give him a blow job ;-)

Do you really think he is going to stay years?

  • if he signs it will be on a long contract so i expect 2 seasons with us atleast and if we can match his promise and talent in other departments i reckon he will have no need to leave

But you know contracts aren't binding nowadays. If he signs a long contract it will only be to help us get a good price when the big boys come in for him. Meanwhile I'd like to see him play as much as possible.

Swansea, Reading, Southampton and Norwich. Maybe Preston and Derby, and I'm not sure about Coventry.

If he had played today Parky would have run a massive risk of JJ getting injured.

Dirty scumbag team barnsley, never seen so many late, spitefull tackles in a game before.

In that case, why bother to have him on the bench?

because mate he will learn more from being in and around the squad than just playing

the match day experience is all part of his learning

He can get that without being a possible sub on the bench. Meanwhile what's the point of having someone on the bench who is not going to play if,as Stu suggests, Parky would have been worried he might get clobbered
  • Jon Jo made his debut at Oakwell last season - and was the best player on the pitch.
