[cite]Posted By: nigel w[/cite]Of course, we don't get to see how useless Izale (and Dicko come to that) are in training. It's all very well McLeod being MOTM in a lower league game in a Saturday afternoon kick-around. But that's hardly the same as doing it on a regular basis, Mon-Fri, at a big-time Championship training ground like Sparrows Lane, is it?
(sorry, my anger of Sat/Sun seems to have given way to pathetic sarcasm...)
Still anyway McLeod and Dickson couldn't force themselves into a winning team so that's presumbably why one is gone and the other going...)
(sorry, my anger of Sat/Sun seems to have given way to pathetic sarcasm...)

Still why play McLeod and Dickson, it makes far more sense in our current financial mess, to pay extra money and get in some prolific championship strikers like Burton and Waghorn.

[cite]Posted By: cafcpolo[/cite]Is this whole thread a wind up or something?
Moaning about the OS now...Christ, do some of you really care that much? Surely you've got more important things to worry about. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. However, I agree with the response, if you don't care, don't read it!
What Polo said.
For some people Charlton is their livelihood so being a bit short is IMHO understandable even if not the best PR.
At least there was a quick response and not a standard PR reply but I think just about any response would have been slagged off as "spin" or lies or not answering the question : - (
Sorry Henry. Not acceptable for any employee to take a negative stance against any paying customer unless they are being rude or violent. Clearly not the case and this does need addressing. imho
I, for one, like reading how the loan players are getting on. Saves trawling round each individual club's website. They've always done a round-up on the loan players so I don't really see what the problem is here - it's not the OS's fault Mr McLeod happens to be on loan with our friends down the road!
[cite]Posted By: Goonerhater[/cite]so taking that further than if we dont like the "football" at the Valley dont go ? surely thats thae same as "if you dnot like it dont read it ?
Jesus, talk about a storm in a tea cup! Jackett's comments are relevant as they are directly about Izale - it's not like we had a full transcript of his post match comments is it?
As for the pissy reply - perhaps people at the club are fed up of having their inboxes filled up with emails from whiny winge buckets who are looking for any excuse to bash any arm of the club just because they're pissed off with the manager and the players. These people are all fans the same as you and me - they'll be hurting the same.
OK Guys, I seem to have opened a can of worms here.
I can confirm I have recieved an official apology from both the original writer of the reply to my email as well as another person so I am now a lot happier.
However just to clear things up I do not have a problem with reading the odd paragraph about our loan players and what they are up to but I did not like reading a Millwall match report, Kenny Jacketts comments and being told that Millwall are away to Hull City this Saturday and the ko is 15.00! these fact have nothing to do with Izale Mcloed so why report them.
Maybe I am being over the top but at the moment I am suffering like the rest of you, I work in an office and have access to a PC all day, my fingers are bleeding where I log on to the O/S, this site and other sports sites searching for news of Parkinson being sacked or a special player we may have signed to get us out of trouble, however all I have found today is a Millwall report, news of their next match away to Hull and a sarcastic reply from an employee of the club I love.
Surely the point here is that if you can't treat your paying customers in a properr manner then you don't have to work in a PR/marketing/communications department?
And that's regardless of rhe nature of the point that your paying customer was making. As someone said earlier, if I treated my customers like that I'd be in the bin.
It's hardly a "Millwall match report" is it? Just a couple of paragraphs on how Izale got on. And as Exiled stated, Jackett's comments are relevant because he is talking about Izale! Plus Izale will probably be playing against Hull. All this fuss seems a bit OTT to me!
Can understand reporting on the guys performance but what the fook are they doing telling us when their next game is AND going to the barmy lengths of even giving us the kick off time...who the fook cares...I loath Millsmall and don't like the remotest mention of them on our clubs wesite other than that which is totally neccessary...knowing about their next fixture is absolutely bizzare and whoever wrote that part of the article needs their stupid arse kicked.
I've gotta be honest Mike, I think you're blowing this out of all proportion. Okay, we don't need to know when Millwall's next game is but I was interested to hear what Jackett had to say about Mcleod even if it is frustrating to hear one of our on loan strikers earning praise elsewhere whilst those still at the club continue to dissappoint.
I can tell your really hurting and I respect that, but I sense you're unloading some of your frustrations on a fairly innocent party.
Without meaning to sound patronising, for your own sanity you need to accept that Parky ain't going anywhere and no special players are remotely interested in moving to SE7 right now - as much as you wish it wasn't so.
All the same, I respect your passion and I share your pain.
I 100% agree with you east stand mike. When I saw it I thought is was a joke! They do however have idiots working at that club, lets hope they have a shake up next season!

I'm sure plenty of those "idiots" are going to get made redundant when/if we go down and they still have to pay their mortgages, credit card bills and send their kids to school though. The back office staff are not the ones to be blamed out our club thats for sure.

whoever sent it perhaps went a bit over the top and since they apologised they obviously realised they went too far but can you wonder that people who are employed by the club, who don't pick the team or the manager, might get a little pissed off as well when this is the way people talk about them.
Sorry, pissed off or not it's all about being professional in your work. I get plenty of unwarranted grief in my job but I wouldn't dream of replying like that - whether I was worried about my job or not. Inexcusable in my view, regardless of what the original email was about.

Oh come on - it's hardly like the email verbally abused him! It just basically said, if you don't want to read it, then don't. A complete mountain out of a molehill if ever there was one.

Well yeah...Hence attendances slowly dropping?
Greaves you are very right there.
The irony of the Spanners leapfrogging us with the help of Mcleod is laughable.
I've no problem McLeod getting games, but Millwall??
My point proved

Yes, that's true enough. Perhaps they just put them there as the lead story to make sure that Pardky read them - in which case, respect!

Still shocked at the tone of the email response.

Whether you agree with it or not, the undisputable fact is that a customer feels he has been treated badly - not good PR in anyones book.
