I have just taken a look at the O/S and to be honest thought I had clicked onto the wrong site, the lead story is all about Izale McLeod making his debut for Millwall, you could say that this is OK as he is our player however when you read on you get the full monty, news of the game, comments from Kenny Jackett etc, they even inform us of Millwall's next fixture i.e. away to Hull City KO 15.00!!!
I don't know what your views will be but I think this is a piss take and I have emailed the club and told them so, I have copied my message below so you can see what I have said.
Dear Sirs,
I have just clicked on to the official web site and I am horrified at what I saw, the main lead story is all about Izale McLeod making his debut for Millwall, we get a full account on their 1-0 win, how Izale played, comments and quotes from the Millwall manager and finally it informs us of their next fixture i.e. away to Hull City, KO 15.00.
I think in light of the situation this is a huge blunder to be added to the long list being made by officials at the club at the moment, with results, lack of a league win to report on, financial statements etc the last thing I want to read about when I visit the official site is how well Millwall are doing, their league position, managerial comments and news on their next fixture.
As we are well aware we are the leaders in the market when it comes to loaning players and I have checked respective web sites and cannot find any where near as much information regarding the players we have on loan, unfortunately those clubs have a lot more positive news to report on their own footballing matters rather than wasting web space on players that have decided to ply their trade elsewhere.
I look forward to receiving your comments by return.

If only our management team gave our fringe players as much exposure as the OS eh?
It makes you wonder what the fluk is going on .
Whether we should have loaned McLeod to them is another question (I don't think we should) but since he is there I'd like to know how he got on.
But I couldn't help laughing, to be honest. The first time Izale has made the lead story on the Charlton O/S since he signed for us - and he's had to go to Millwall to do it !
This quote from Jackett is pretty hilarious, too, given what's going on with our strikers at the moment : "He changes the dynamic of our team with his pace and his threat in behind. He is different to the forwards we have in that he naturally wants to get in behind and that is something we need."
Perhaps that explains why we don't want him. All this getting in behind defences when he should be holding the ball up, linking the play, tracking back, defending, bringing others in and all those other qualities that Gray and Burton possess and which are obviously the reason for our current success...
Apparently he's quick, powerful, good touch and a decent shot on him.
Sounds like just the kind of player you need as the 'one' in a 4-5-1!!!
;-)
We've seen him start a few games and he's always been taken off after being poor. Maybe he should get a longer run, but he's never looked like a Championship player to me. Though Pardew and Parkinson haven't got the best out of of any player.
Never had a good touch when he's played for us, wouldn't call him powerful and his finishing has always looked very average. They're right about him being quick though.
And yes they've been reporting on the players out on loan all season, don't seem that as a problem. It's more important the McLeod and Parkinson that he gets games, don't think they're bothered where he goes in League One, they're not going to be fussy about it.
(sorry, my anger of Sat/Sun seems to have given way to pathetic sarcasm...)
Are are we talking about a different player?
Though why we are helping bloody Millwall is beyond me and is a joke.
The south london merger is getting closer my friends.
It really does beggar belief......
LOL that has really made my day, feel far less depressed now :-)
I must admit I did have a quiet snigger yesterday after reading Kenny Jacket's comments in the sundays. The fact that he came on for the second half, had a shot wihin 5 mins which hit the post and then proceeded to change the game with his pace obviously wil be lost our manager.
also, to those who say he is not championship standard, take a look at the league table.......nor are we !! and next year (if he stays) he will be plying his trade in Div 1.
Thank you for your reply, I agree with most points but take issue with a few others however before I touch on those I would like to go on record by saying how disappointed I am with the reply I have received from ******* which I have posted below.

Should we not report on what our loan players are doing then? Perhaps we should just ignore the fact they’re out on loan?
You say you can find nowhere near as much information on other websites – I actually take that as a compliment that we endeavour to let fans know as much as possible about our loan players and I know a lot of supporters are keen to find out too.
We have always done a round-up on a Monday of how the loan players fared over the weekend and will continue to do so. You don’t actually have to read the story if you don’t want to.
As you can see **** has embraced my concerns, filled his reply with sarcastic remarks and then finished off by stating, and I quote "You don't actually have to read the story if you don't want to"
That is a great way to treat a season ticket holder who has been supporting the club for 41 years and is in a world of pain at the moment watching the team he loves slip into league one week by week.
I will take up Mr ***** comments at a later date and post them on the forums I belong to as I am sure a great deal of fellow Charlton fans will be interested in the concern he has shown me.
However getting back to the point and the one I was trying to make and that is I do not have a problem with you reporting on Izale's progress whilst on loan at another club however I did take offence at the fact that it did not stop there, why inform us what Kenny Jackett has to say, why report on the match, why inform us of Millwall's next game i.e. away to Hull City, why tell us the KO time???
We as supporters do not want to know these things, and I am sure the front page of the official site could be better used considering the state we are in at the moment, I could think of plenty of things we as fans would like to see written on the web site concerning our plight, what I do not need to read about is how well Millwall are doing, their league position, and who they are playing next week.
Kind Regards
I think the line telling me and once again I quote, "You don't actually have to read the story if you don't want to" sums up the way things are going at the club we love.
Sounds like something i'd reply to one of oohahh's comments, but coming from a @cafc.co.uk email address, it should not read like that in my opinion!
Sounds to me like someone needs to remember why thisclub is still here.
I hear you fella, I have my ideas on who as well.
What the f*ck is the matter with our directors...they don't have a clue!
Probably what he shoud have said is that it's valid to have it on there, but we'll take a look at what is posted as a lead story. If we're having a witch hunt though let's go after the board, players or management, not someone on the website or communications who has probably dealt with 50 ranting mails on a day when their job is more uncertain that most bankers'.
You're forgetting that McLeod was league 2's top scorer and also voted into their team of the year. He then scored lots of goals the next year in league one as well. His form even saw him play once for England under 21s. Dickson had a purple patch at Gillingham but people forget he was also very ordinary whilst on loan the same season at Crewe who sent him back.
Whilst i don't doubt that Dickson can be a success for us, don't be so quick to write off McLeod.
Paying customers, not supporters, wonder how my boss would react if I spoke to a customer like that?
Moaning about the OS now...Christ, do some of you really care that much? Surely you've got more important things to worry about. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. However, I agree with the response, if you don't care, don't read it!
