  • Are we winning yet?

    Why not...?

    Parky OUT! :o)
  • Sorry, West Side.

At first missed your subtle puns ....lol
  • Really hope that corner we turned on Tuesday does not lead to a dead end. And I don't think it will.

1-3 to us and I forsee this team:

    Elliot

    Murty
    Hudson
    Fortune
    Basey

    Sam
    Soares
    Bailey
    Ambrose

    Shelvey

    Gray

    Subs:
    Randolph
    Spring
    Waghorn
    Dickson
    Youga
  • Always vote for a defeat as I am a pessimist.
Come on Charlton - suck their eyes out.
  • Rudolph
    Murts
    Basey
    Rock
    Forts
    Soares
    Shelvey
    Ambrose
    Bailey
    Sam
    Gray

4-5-1 (Bailey holding mid, shelvey play maker, ambrose behind Gray)

We owe them COME ON YOU REDS!!!!!!
  • looking forward to the day out, come on you reds
  • good luck to those going. However, roared on by a 30k plus crowd I'm going to be exceptionally pesimistic and go for a
    3-0 defeat.

Back four picks itself. Elliott hasn't done anything wrong so deserves to keep his place. Gray up-front.

Expect midfield to be Sam, Soares, Bailey, Spring with Shelvey pushing on.

Agree Large's team (although I'd be tempted to go for Holland rather than Sam and play it a bit tighter in mid-field).

Full of confidence as we've only been beaten once all year (!) But fear a 3-1 reverse, Gray to score (pen, maybe...)

Howls of outrage on this thread after we've lost about the idiocy of making six changes to a winning team...

Won't be travelling but will be doing my bit. I don't usally drink red wine in the afternoon, but as a bottle of a very nice Australian cabernet saw us to victory on Tues night, I guess I can't break the lucky pattern, and another bottle of the same vintage is ready and primed...
  • Scrappy away win 0-1

    Elliot

    Murty Fortune Hudson Basey

    Mou2 Bailey Sam

    Shelvey Ambrose

    Gray

    Subs.
    Weaver,Youga,Soares,Spring,Waghorn
  • Sponsored links:

  • Elliot

    Murty Fortune Hudson Basey

    Wright Bailey Sam

    Shelvey Ambrose

    Dickson

    Subs Weaver, Youga, Waghorn, Wagstaff

This team would get us a 3 nil win with Jonjo scoring the first goal @ odds of 925-1 on bet365 thats not bad odds
  • Starting to think it will be:

    Elliot
    -Murty---Fortune---Hudson---Basey-
    -Sam---Soares----Bailey--Spring----
    Shelvey

    Gray

Subs: Waghorn, Youga, Randolph, Ambrose, Dickson
  • it has to be a win and that still wont be enough we are down and we wont win FACT
  • im so hoping its a win. will believe it when i see it. 0-1 win by own goal. their defenders have a better chance of scoring for us than our strikers!
  • I can't see us scoring 2 I'm afraid so it won't be 3 points
  • Easy away win.

ps. I'm clearly still drunk from last night.
  • Away win! owlzat.
  • Right my team is:

    Elliott
    Moutouakil---Fortune---Hudson---Youga
    Sam
    Bailey
    Basey
    Jonjo
    Ambrose
    Gray

or at least i hope it's that team - p.s don't crucify me for youga!
  • Soares will play ..... FACT

    ;-)
  • AGAIN - WHO'S VOTING FOR US TO WIN!

  • Nice try, Dazzler ......but Parky's mate Murts will deffo play, Pacey-Basey will be LB, Ambrose is already 'doubtful' - and you can bet your life newboys Soares & Spring are guaranteed a start or they wouldn't have signed.

At least Jonjo should sit in the hole.

BTW, steady with that Blistex, Dazzler. It can have strange effects.
    Apparently.

    ;o)
  • Current form dictates that I say home win. Pleeeese let me be wrong.
  • Oggy, we're looking for some stirring play from you again between 3-4.55 this afternoon. As I said the other day, you and Dazzler played a blinder last Sat on here during the Forest game - head and shoulders above the performance on the pitch!

    Ha ha, Nigel.

I'll be doing my bit skippering the posters - everytime Weds score, I'll be doing my best to pick everyone up off the floor, blindly convincing people we can still win.

    Rely on me.......(!)

  • Just had a tenner on Shelvey first scorer and us to win 3-1. I've got a good feeling about today!

Hope your good feeling is right , 1984, and the year your name remembers is not an omen. We went to Hillsborough and lost 4-1!

Not a bad team , either - Nicky Johns (saved a pen), Steve Gritt, Mark Aizlewood, Mike Flanagan. Peter Shirtliff was playing against us and scored.

The game was on MOTD as well. I can vaguely recollect the pen save, I think...
  • Just to cheer you all up, I remember being at Hillsborough when we were 4-1 up, and lost 5-4......... (!)

I can't remember the season, tho I'm sure somebody else can (late 70's probs, might have been early 80's, all a blur)
  • Trust me, it's a nailed on dead cert and at 475-1 is a license to print money ;-)

    btw is Jonjo starting today?
