Message for the Board Hope you read this

Over the last couple of years you have come in for some stick for one reason or another. I for one would never call for your heads as the work that has been done over the last 20 years has allowed me to don my colours with pride. I understand that changes had to made and money saved for the club to survive and appriciate that as supporters we will never 100% know what is going on behind the scene but that whatever decision you make are in the best interests of the long term future of the club.

I will tell you one thing now. Unless you bite the bullet and sack Mr Pardew & Parkinson now all the hard work you have done will be for nothing. We will find ourselves relegated and the way back will be even harder than getting back into the prem. Now is the time to go the extra mile, spend that extra bit of cash to pay them off, get someone else in and give them some funds to carry out thier work. Allow Kins, a CAFC person through and through and Holland, a true pro and also CAFC through and through take temp charge while you spend a couple of weeks to get the correct person in. Even if those two manage to lose the next 5 games, I don't see how Pardew will get any better results during that time.

If Pardew is left in charge the club will be at an all time 30 year low, no investment now will result in leaving us in a position I don't think we'll ever recover from. You have the stadium, the support and the structure to be back in the prem and consolidate there, please do not chuck it all away for the sake of a few quid now.

I had a very open and honest chat with Pardew a few weeks ago at Cardiff while the team was warming up and his words were "we are in really good shape, ready to start putting some results together starting today" Need I say more?

Pards had lost the dressing room due to changing the team too much brining in to many loan signings and the players got fed up with it. The board should not come out of these as saints they have been destroying all the work not just by themselves but the hard work, support and most importantly the PREMIERSHIP TV money and money that the fans have put in throughout the years and Curbishley efforts. 4 managers in 3 years in any other organisation would mean a failure at the very top of it. Getting rid of Reid, big chris, Magic certainly did not help Pards.

I am very angry and upset about this and what has happened over the last 3 years. I liked Pards and I hope he succeeds somewhere else.

He had enough money, backing and support here to do well.

He didnt - actually he royally fucked it up.

    Good riddance.
  • I think he had enough backing and plenty of opportunity to turn the corner. Constant fiddling with the line up and a failure to get the midfield to supply the strikers, with a mess of a defence to boot, doesnt point to too much being done right.

Think you'll find that he spent more than the enforced sales brought in. He has no excuses on this front.
  • I've dug this up as only part of the job has been done. PP has to go as well.

Agree, need fresh ideas and motivation and that will only come from a new manager

Im on the train on the way home having just watched the worst performance I can remember in a long time. Yes Ive seen worse teams in red, but who has stopped us being a team who do the basics correctly? We cant pass, we dont battle, we dont create. Feeling very down and wondering why I bothered going tonight. I dont see enough of my kids as it is.... Seriously fucked off
  • my not renewing my ST is looking one of the shrewdest decisions I have made for a long time - one I m not proud of by the way - but the thought of seeing us as we are at the moment would drive me mad.
  • Ledge it looks like an inspired decision mate.

    Couldn't have said it better.

No energy and basic passing and communication sadly lacking

    Equally fucked off too
  • I'll bring this thread back as both should have gone at the time. How long before we get the change the club needs?

Apologies if it sounds like aftertiming but how our Manager (with the backing of the board) could allow us to go into the season with just two recognised centre backs (Hudson and Fortune) beggars belief.

Curbs was criticised for the fact that we used to only ever be interested in signing defenders but the fact remains that, under him, we never had less than four centre backs with, in addition, the likes of Herman available to do a job if necessary.

Only Watford have a worst defence than us and this, coupled with the fact that Pards/Parky clearly have their favourites who they have continued to play and others they haven't given a decent chance to, has resulted in the shambles that is CAFC.
  • Is it just me or has any one else noticed that our form last season started to drop off after we signed Andy Gray and again this season we seem to play worse when he is in the side- I think he is a lazy sod. In the game against QPR he couldn't even be bothered to jump for the ball- how can we have a centre forward who can't win headers outside the box let alone when he is in it. Instead of jumping he seems to go up on tiptoes and shrugs his shoulders- lazy, lazy, lazy.

  • He never jumps, pretty sure it's just the way he plays rather than being lazy.

Always see people saying Gray worked his socks off or was lazy.

With Gray he'll get goals with service in the box, but apart from holding up the ball a bit, doesn't do much out of it.
  • They should of done what Jordan done with palace replaced pardew with a full time manager straight away.
  • Agree with Scoham.....but he aint no Ian Wright !
  • Doesn't do much in it either for a centre forward! At least Burton brings other people into the game- Gray looks like his head is eslewhere - am I right in saying that he has been having personal problems- if that is true then he needs to get them sorted as he appears to be concentrating on them instead of the game- I have only seen him have one good game at home this season and at the moment we can't afford passengers- especially as we have Toddy, Dickson and Burton all derseving of a place instead of him at the moment
