seem to remember a couple of games at the valley where we were 3-0 down and pulled it back to 3-3, Oxford and Wolves I think, in addition to some of the others mentioned.
The St Andrews play off replay comeback against Leeds, when Shirtliff scored twice in extra time, arguably saved the club at the time given that we were exiled at Selhurst. Had we gone down that season would we ever have got back to The Valley?
Not a comeback exactly but a season saving goal, Cliff Durandt's winner against Southampton in the 89th minute in 62/63 at The Valley when we needed to win to avoid relegation. We then also needed to beat Walsall at Fellowes Park to stay up a few days later which we managed to do thus surviving on goal average.
The ST Andrews game for me, vital to the club at the time, all the sweater for the fact that my best mate supports Leeds, how we laughed! come to think of it, might have just been me laughing.
Going 1-0 at home to Bolton in second half of the last game of the season when we needed to win to stay up, then going on to smash them 4-1. Was it 82/83?
Comments
Leaburn and the pineapple himself Jason Lee scoring the two late goals.
Can't have been more than 4-5000 left in the ground!.
2 down in 5 mins (marcus bent for both !!!) but then a big turnaround
