I saw him when we beat Sheff Utd 6-0 in the youth cup. Not the best game to judge a defender on really. He's big, but hard to say just how good he can be. At that age he might look better than he is just by being physically better than most other players.
I've seen him play a few times. He's a big strong kid ,but only young. He was stretchered off last week, playing for the reserves. Hope he's ok. Could be one for the future, but he's some way off at the moment through lack of experience.
We should probably play slightly different Tuesday (no I did not mean well) play the attacking full backs with Primus and Cranie in the middle. but due to their inexperience play deeper in the centre of midfield to offer them a modicum of protection

Yassin Primus Cranie Youga

Ambrose and Bouazza though should have a license to drift into space and create whilst Holland shields the back four, dropping into the fullback postions when needed
Good signing for them I think, got to prove himself at the lower levels before moving up I'd say. He does well at reserve and youth level, but then he is stronger and a lot better in the air than most players he comes up against.
Will be interesting to hear how he does, good experience for him. He's not signed pro with us yet so although the club rate him they probably think he still needs to improve (and can't afford more players on pro contracts?).
though obviously an experience exercise is this not a sure-fire indication that bodies are soon to be coming in?
17 and wet behind the ears or not, he is a recognised (and by all accounts promising) centre half and we currently in our entire squad have a centre half nursing a pretty serious head injury, a 35 year old and two temps in the form of a now converted defensive midfielder and a chaotic left back...

I'd hope you're right but i think Mambo is a stretch off the first team unless we get a string of injuries.
Actually sod it, i think the takeover's going through tomorrow! ;0)
no conspiracy theory from me Henry... just a straightforward... kid or not (and he seems to be the best one we have at centre half), we have two central defenders in our squad, both already taken knocks this season and one of the potential stand-ins is touch and go for the weekend already... if I was Parky I wouldn't be letting him go straight away if there was nothing else out there put it that way.
[cite]Posted By: Chizz[/cite]If Llera and Dailly are our first choice centre backs, Semedo is third and the fourth choice is Youga, does that make Mambo number five?
A little bit of Yado in my life
A little bit of Mambo by my side
A little bit of Yado's all I need
A little bit of Mambo's what I see
A little bit of Yado in the sun
A little bit of Mambo all night long
A little bit of Yado here I am
A little bit of Mambo he's our man
In our present circumstances, and until things change, needs must. Pele was playing in a world cup final at 17, Jonjo was playing in the championship at 16, if Yado comes into a third division team as cover at 17, I expect his teammates to help him, nurse him, encourage him, cover for him and get him through. a bit like the old days huh? The same goes for other changes we may be obliged to make because of injuries, suspensions and transfers. We have what we have, and we must try to do our best with it. As long as everybody puts in an honest shift I'm happy, I'm not happy if we give up and moan because we don't have Rio Ferdinand or somebody.
Rock on Yado, it will have to begin somewhere for you, be ready for it and enjoy it.

Well said Seth, personally I would perservere with the young un's, we need a team of both experienced and youth. My concern is not the first 13/14 players but cover, we already have the ham string stories coming out, This has been a strong start, and hopefully given both the players and fan's some confidence and faith, something I was personally running pretty low on myself. i thought the team played well as a team on Saturday, and light years ahead of some of the performances of last year.
At least we played as a team, not 2/3 individuals and no idea....

I'd be very shocked if he even makes the bench.
Pretty sure it'll be Cranie, Semedo or Youga.
I reckon be Youga in the middle and basey left back
Smart option would be to put Cranie in the middle. Think centre back is meant to be his natural position.
despite the fact they are good going forward defensively they are both a joke

If cranie not fit, then Youga in for him.
Any suggestions? We are running out of bodies at the back for tomorrow.
He was a bit slow and not very interested in what was going on
