These new stats we're getting on TV for the world cup.
For example; 'Ball Recovery = 17 seconds" Now, I know these are fit young men but that time seems remarkably quick to me. It still takes me 2 to 3 hours at my age.
My good lady shutting a car door, she either slams it with such force it rattles all the windows and makes my ears pop such is the change in cabin pressure or takes four attempts to shut the fecking thing. 🤷♂️

Just watching the school caretakers setting up the football pitch for a 7 aside tournament with a couple of visiting schools, as I passed them to exercise my dog they were cable tying the fecking great holes together in some sort of bodged repair, saying there's never any budget left for new ones they've been asking for two years. Myself and Lynne looked on ebay and bought them two sets for 25 quid FFS, when a school cant afford 25 quid we really are up s*it creek!

It really is shocking how little money schools have. My wife’s a head at an infant school and they have to budget and fight for every penny. The massive increases in heating costs are a big problem.

When they said there was no budget, I assumed we were talking £100s not just a few quid as you say, shocking.

They had a visit from an Amazon community rep from Belvedere the other day and she basically asked my wife what the school needed. What they gave was just a drop in the ocean considering what they make but she was a bit choked at how generous they were, especially given how much the kids will benefit from what they donated.

In the light of the last few posts, Daily Mail headlines defending the “charitable “ status of rich private schools.
My son went to a fee paying school, i had 3 jobs (and yes i payed my tax on the money) My wife also did overtime on Saturdays so my boy could go to a decent school.
We had caravan holidays, we made a diesel Peugeot last the 11yrs he was at school, we had basic mobile phones and we never had takeaways or big nights out, and i went to the valley once maybe twice a season.
We took nothing from the "state" and we did not get any of the money that had my son attended a State school would have been "spent" on him.
The school my son attended also took local lads from the Grove Park estate and covered their fees.
Was it worth it? You bet it was, he left with 3 A levels, (History Politics and Economics) Grade 5 Piano, toured Aus playing cricket, South Africa playing hockey. Ended up with a degree from Loughborough, having played football for them.
Not bad from a lad who's dad was born in Plumstead was mechanic who left school at 16 with 1 O level.
By all means make people pay VAT on school fees and then it will be only the very rich who could afford it and make them even more elitist

Probably because he speaks through it most of the time.
Seems to be in everything these days, even my vegan sausage roll. FFS
I share your pain, Ray.
Yep, you've guessed it, has both, onion and butternut squash in it:(
Newsflash: They all always wants to f***ing score, every minute of the game.
More accurately would be "he scores when they give him too much time and space."
