Tonight i had the honour of sitting next to 2 gentlemen from Bristol City Bradley Orr and Scott Murray and i thouroughly enjoyed it, They came up to the seats after entering the west stand upper with Leroy Lita i asked Bradley if he had signed for city and he said no he is signing for charlton. leroy was sitting with someone who must have been his agent and a gentlemen who i have seen before in a charlton officals uniform. I managed to speak to leroy at halftime and i asked him idf he was signing he said he couldnt say i said come on man tip me the wink and at that point he winked and nodded.

He reappeared after halftime again after being with the 2 city boys, iasked them again and they both said it was a done deal.

i met 3 charlton players after the match at seperate intervals 2 of them told me that he had signed already that afternoon and 1 told me that he had heard he was signing due to izale mcleod going out on loan

i met a journo who was typing away outside the players exit and i asked him if he had heard anything and he said the rumour was rife that it will be announced in the next 48-72 hrs.

if anyone on here can confirm or deny the rumour then please let us all know cos tonight we need a striker and unfortnatly not one looked to be on the pitch for either city or ourselves

But surely he can't play until next season? Or is it an initial loan? Never been particularly keen on him, but he does seem to have an eye for goal.

mate it is a true relection of the night i must say the Murray and Orr were fantastic company and i had no reason to doubt them when they said they dont need lita i believe that Orr has played with him before proberly u21 england and he was certain he was joining us

it is a shame that certain charlton players never acted like these 2 as some of the reports from blackpool pissed me off. i like to talk footie all night long and thse boys gave me that opportunity even appologised when they scored

If hes so good why isnt he doing it for Reading now when they surely need him.

I dont think we need another player whos heart may not be fully committed to the cause.

Hope I am 100% wrong and he bangs in 10 goals in as many games.

I cant help thinking that whatever happens this season that we are in for another transformation of the squad in the summer. Obviously what adjustments will depend on the league we are in.

Quality striker for this level, hope he doesn't have the attitude problem I suspect he may have.

Would be a great signing, but I think we need to be able to sub a centre midfielder when they are really in truth having a shocker (ZZ)

very true not one player on the pitch could have stepped into midfield unless halford mybe and put thatch on but zz needs a rest i think the games are catching up with him.

anyone else available for pards to sign ... we're like a poor mans middlesboro a few years back anyone who became available to sign they were linked with.... still lets hope leroy turns into a jimmy melrose style signing and gets the goals for our promotion push..... i said the same about andy gray ...doh!

we really need to start putting the youngsters on the bench to aid in the midfield area Shelvey wouldnt last 90 mins but imo he would have faired the last 20-30 better than zz last night he was dead on his feet
