dear o dear we are reading a Blackpool paper which in its article says " rumours in South London suggest" .
Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz get us a f**king ball wining all guns blazing midfield general, first and foremost and break the bank if need be !!!
Maybe like what came out of the Eastwood transfer, we haven't gone in with enough conviction, or at all - who knows? Shame because I think he's one of the best in the division in a position, Ambrose and Reid, when both on their mettle aside, we have had no provision for since Murphy
The way this kid is talked up on here you'd think that United and Real would be fighting for his signature. Got no problems with us signing him but the expectations being heaped on him are getting completely out of hand.

because hes a good little player and for £250,000 not much of a gamble
The way I see it no matter who he ends up signing for it's not a done deal until pen is put to paper, until that moment arrives it's all pure speculation for all interested parties. How many times have we seen deals for players supposedly coming to us (that we thought were nailed on), hijacked at the eleventh hour. It's exactly the same for other clubs too.
ALL clubs were alerted to Hoolihan's availability and get out clause long before the season ended. Half the Championship have been in negotiations with his agent during this period, including us.
There is a lot of competition for this player. Going by the amount his agent has got him being speculated in the press, i suspected it would be to the highest wage payer, which going by the clubs interested i would of suspected would be us or Sheff U.
Norwich seemed well of the radar for me. Either they have broke the bank going for him, or its a non-story. But given by the way it has been wrote, it doesn't sound a non-story to me.

AFKA, you have to remember that Norwich have had a clear out at the end of the season. 8 or 9 have gone including some big wage earners like Huckerby and Dublin. Norwich also have kept their fan base in tact since the Premier League days and have recently sold land around the ground for residential use and a Hotel. I suspect they are well positioned to bid for players like Hoolihan. He's a good player but lets not get too carried away.
My boss is a Blackpool fan and is always telling me that Hoolihan is their best player and would be gutted if he left, he was not happy to hear that he might be going to Charlton because he thought a Premier League team would come in for him and keeps going on about how Everton have been tracking him since January. I haven't heard Everton mentioned in the press anywhere so I think it is a Championship thing and agree with AFKA that it will come down to the highest bidder. We do seem to pay high wages for this division so must be in the shake up. As Hoolihan is an Irish man perhaps Mr Kinsella might have a word in his shell like to let him know what a wonderful club we are.
seems much too much flying around about Norwich for it not to be true. Can't help but feel that we have missed out big-time on Wes. If pards is interested let's hope he can pull it out of the bag at the last moment. If he doesn't want Wes that may lend some credence to the ZZ to Fulham rumour with Cook as part of the deal.

we need a ball winner AND someone with a killer pass we've lacked since Smertin/Parker and Murphy
Says who?
