went out with a 24yr old when i was 16 for a couple of months. First date was an 18 film at the cinema and i was terrified about getting in ! She was a nice girl.
When Andy Fordham had his pub in Woolwich (Queens Head ?), i ended up round the back with a 30yr old lady i had told i was 21. When later me and my mates were walking back to General Gordon Square, her and her mates pulled up in a car, she shouted out she had fooled me and that she was really 35. Her mates found it hilarious for some reason, but they laughed twice as hard when i said i was really 17.9 -

I do get a lot of stick for it, especially from people I don't know.
Last week we were in a restaurant having dinner and I got call a Peado, a child snatcher, a nonce and a dirty old bastard, all from people I didn't know.

I think the 'acceptable' calculation is half the older person's age, plus 7. So if the older person is 40, 27 would be the minimum age. Shouldn't matter who in the relationship is the older, of course. I haven't gone through this thread to see who managed 'acceptable'....3

My (soon to be ex) wife was 11 years younger than me. She always said it wasn't an issue but let slip the phrase "but of course I'm still young" once... does get a bit difficult as you get older...0

I think the girl was 30 and I was 20... Never really got going that one. Most of my girlfriends have been slightly older than me.

In my early 20s and pre 1st-wife, I was seeing a couple of ladies in their mid 30s.

Always had a thing for the older ladies even when I was young...but my new wife is 5 years younger than me.
One of my mates always looked a little older than he actually was. Had a Bobby Charlton-style sweepover and grey hair even in his teens. He was an absolute nightmare on a night out as he'd drink so much then literally fall asleep standing up on the dancefloor and proceeded to dance (while still asleep) round every group of girls he could find and he would try it on with every single one of them. The oldest woman I've ever slept with is 62 - in fact it was her 62nd birthday yesterday! And I'm a whipper snapper toy boy of 61.

When we first got together a lot of our friends had doubts as to how long we would last.
Next August we celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and we have two grown-up children and three grandkids plus another on the way.
Age is just a number if it works it works.35
