At about the 54th minute Shelvey took a corner Bailey volleyed it from the edge of the box ala Scholes.
Bloke and his partner behind me thought it was a waste among a lot of other things. The fact we have players capable of attempting such skills was wasted on them.
If Bailey had connected his boot with the ball 3mm higher it might have been on target. Some people cant do a double bow let alone kick a ball.
We do have a family stand for people who don't like swearing, so could anyone who comes to a watch football and doesn't like that sort of thing please f off over to there?
And the award for today's most ridiculous comment goes too .................
i agree with razil we do have a family area for those a bit sensitive and i truely mean it,i have told my son what goes at football stays at football,if you dont like it feck off :-)
I've just started taking my son to football. I completely accept that there will always be some choice language and use it myself on occassion, but if it was too much and I asked the person to tone it down a bit and they didn't then it would be them that would be doing the "fecking off".
And what's more they could do that the easy way or the hard way - if you catch my drift.
mate we all get caught up in the moment me included but if i do offend people i apologise and tone it down, but what im saying is you know and i know if happens and if you feel sensitive too it go and sit in the family section, buckshee has this year and fair play to him.If you are going to feck off all the die hards of the last 30 years we wont be left with much mate. You only have to look at all the johnny come lately's that have dis-appeared over the last 2 years.
But that's all anyone expects Steve. What I'm talking about are the people mentioned on this thread who constantly scream abuse and do nothing to tone it down or apologise when asked.
They are the ones who could chose to go home in a box if they wanted. )
Anyway, from my padded seat in the West Upper we don't get any of you rough chaps. And I just have to tell you, the prawn sandwiches are simply devine!
LOL i looked up at my old seat in the upper west yesterday near the away end.I could sit there now shout swear and shit on the floor and there wouldn't be anybody within 2 blocks of me.
It always makes me chuckle when a lino pulls us up for an offside decision and the covered end go mental and yet it was so blatantly offside even that prick yesterday could've called it right.
I mean, how can you even think about calling an offside from behind the goal? Weird!

lol my dad used to say the same thing when i was young and Ive turned out awlright. if i had a kid and was sensitive about it hearing bad language id make sure it sits nowhere near northstandsteve :-)

Christ.
Lets just sit down an accept it and stay silent like the west stand.
2 blokes sitting a couple of seats away from me never shout any encouragement, clap, sing or chant..........but as soon as anyone makes just one missplaced pass they shout out RUBBISH and actually Booed at half time.
I have also noticed people in the west seem to concerntrate more on the negatives! they were having a pop at Bailey on sat, but yet when the north started singing stand up if u hate Pardew a few of them looked over and said "there not really fans they are just morons!" so its ok to slate Bailey but not Pardew??!! crazy!

It was a waste, senior pros should know better, from that range (edge of the box) he should be getting things on target, when the next goal was so vital.
The 2 fellas in front of me are like the old moaning pair off the muppets, they go on and on about how crap the team is, I wonder if they are watching the same game half the time.
There are 3 or 4 of us that sing and some of the others are starting to give it a go now. The biggest problem (well not at the mo as there arent enough comming along) is that as is now the case in parts of the East, the tkts are sold on the day or as blocks and half the people dont know what the F is going on. At least the constant explanations required to Chinese tourists have stopped since ZZ left.
Funniest thing Ive experienced (up here) is sitting next to Christensens agent with the boy himself and his familly and having to spend the full 90mins of the agent guy (clearly overly excited, very confident and wide of eye shall we say) telling me how good the lad was for the full 90mins including half time.
Rob elliot used to come and sit up with us a few years ago in his club blazer, nice lad (his missus at the time was quite saucy too).
Bloke who sits next to me was pissed as a fart on Saturday. And there's a kid that sits near me has 'MESSI 10' on the back of his Charlton shirt....wishful thinking!

Agreed, it's a weekly release of controlled aggression. As long as it's not swearing for the sake of it then i dont see the harm in passionate spontaneous outburst.
As mentioned earlier there is a family stand which it would be bang out of order to f and blind in.
Modern football stadiums are devoid enough as it is of passion and atmosphere as it is without diluting it any more.
Kids are more exposed to unsuitable language and visions that they may see on pre- watershed tv nowdays and the violent computer games they play so i dont think hearing a few f's on matchday is going to hinder their development.
It IS embarassing when you take kids and they hear and love the swearing and think they can give it some too. When my 8 year old was giving it large the lady in front of me turned round and gave him and me a bollocking.

Does one of them post on here as 'golfaddick' ????
Sat in front of two very posh blokes in the NW quad 2 weeks ago and they were saying how primative our songs are one described them as "thick". He also said Jonjo was one of our laziest players and needs to do more running. That was a lip biting day :-)
Well i have to say its bliss in the M block now. Finally, the comb over, sweater with leather elbow pads, cord wearing, professor looking nerd who sat with his book reading (i kid you not) mini me son, two rows in front has not been seen so far this season. No more cheering when we make a mistake, no more clapping when the oppo score then deafly silence when we do. No more booing at half time & full time regardless of the performance then laughing with each other as they think they are so funny. Nope. They are gone & good ridance too. Happy days!
The Brentford match was my first this season and there was a kind of nerdy bloke next to me in the north upper who hadn't seen a shower for months I reckon, so you can understand how nice it smelled :-( And he kept on singing with his arms stretched and armpits uncovered... I don't know yet if he's also a season ticket holder, but if so it will be a serious turnoff for me. Would it be reason enough to get a refund ;-) I will find out at the Exeter match, fingers crossed.

Go's to show, its a game of opinions. But in my opinion very few have an opinion that count.

Well if they think we are primitive they want to try sitting with Saints all they sang all day saturday was when the saints go marching in. Also maybe they should come and sit up the back of Jblock with us and start some songs themselves or would they not have the bottle to do that.
