  • This is what happened at Southampton in our last away match with the sore losers...........

We are taking two official coaches and a number of others besides. Apparently yesterday we had sold 450 and so with yesterday and today and then pay on the day, there's every chance we should have close to 1000 there tomorrow which would be an amazing turnout.

As for your question about who seems to be Rob Knowles aka on our club forum as Rib Noodles, you can contact him here....... website@barnsleyfc.co.uk and do share the conversation lol. He's not taken kindly before to some of the comments i've made about his work such as spelling mistakes, old information, false info etc and so if he asks where you got the addy from say from the club itself or official website or something and not from DB3K haha.

what a load of absolute idiots does behaving like that around a coach full of normal fans, women and children get them excited, they should talk to palace or millwall's chavs if that's what they're after, they'd know all about ambushing innocents.

btw that kid in the top with the squiggly writing on should just be shot for going out in public dressed like that. absolute moron.

you wont get any of that around here saturday mate, not unless you go well out of your way for it. we're a "family" club ;-)

    dreamboy FYI

Rob, aka rib noodles? Don’t know if I have got the right bloke but did I not meet you at Jolly Beach last Xmas?

You was the geezer giving it large with the ball all day? lol

Attached a pic of the kids to jog your memory.

If its you are you going Saturday, if so fancy a beer?
  • Hopefully Rib Noodles will reply to ya fella. Well we have sold our advance tickets now. Got told yesterday we had sold 450 and so we probably got 500 advance tickets. With pay on the day tomorrow, I would be disapointed if we didn't get close to 1,000 in the ground.

Sorry to pull the rug from under your feet but I was at the club today and as of 1700 hours you will have another 257 fello fans in your end....You only took 500 tickets to start with. 1000 please.....
  • I thought our 800 or so acounted for ourselves well and i've nothing but good to say about the day. The police were most helpful and polite, the home fans were full of good hearted banter, the away fan pub was very good and I loved the Rugby chanting when the score came through. What I didn't like is capital traffic that makes the trip over four hours both ways. I was gutted that Grant McCann missed, but felt a draw was a fair result anyway. Smashing ground and good atmosphere. I think you can appreciate we are a good team, as I can that you will be found hard to beat this season. Knackered now though.
  • Glad you enjoyed your day Dreamboy. Good luck for the rest of the season.
  • I thought you played OK although we put you under severe pressure in the second half. I thought we should have won but you mugged us at the end. Your players kept going and showed great spirit and togetherness. Best of luck for the rest of the season.
  • Echo the comments of Bing and Chicago, and thanks for a great away fans opinion.

Hopefully by the time we go to yours we'll both be a little higher in the league as well. :-))
  • We should have won by 5. Having said that I thought Barnsley were the best team we have played this season.
  • Nice to see some fans respecting us for a change. I thought it was a good advert for a 2nd versus 4th clash. Amazing how McCann can score two free kick blinders into the top corner at Southampton and then missed that sitter to win it yesterday. No idea how we will keep hold of guys like Souza and Muller for long. I did think your fans were rather quiet. Hoping to see some good match pictures now when they come out on official, none official sites and fan cameras. I'm sure some Woolwich Boys were in the back of our end though. Stewards were proper keeping their eyes on them. Loved the rugby chanting.
  • i dont think there was 800 of ya mate, more like 300 from where i was standing. and you came for a draw and were very lucky to get one, our defensive mix ups at the end could have gifted you three points but for 80 minutes we were all over ya

  • I thought we were a bit quiet yesterday as well.
  • We sold 500 before the match and had pay on the day on top of that. I don't think 800 is out of the question. We didn't come for a draw at all, you just didn't let us play. You didn't do much yourselves and it was a pretty even game. We nearly won it was McCann who was disapointed with the miss. An even top of the table clash and a draw was a fair result. Disapointed we conceeded such a weak header, but can't complain. Reid had a great game for you and the ref did very well.
  • id of said there was about 800 there. What i will say is i thought we were very unlucky to drop 2 points in that game we commanded the game up untill the last 8 mins. Before then barnsley just played for the draw imo. the goal keeper got told off by the reff in the 61st min for time waisting ffs!
we hit the bar twice and should have put the game to bed. fair play to barnsley tho who did work hard. in all due respect i dont think barnsley will finish in the top 8 going on that performance. it is a long season and with injuries to key payers will cost. I think they look good for a mid table.

Chin up tho lads still on a good run.
  • An "even game" eh dreamboy? Oh come on, we totally dominated and restircted you to the only odd foray into our half in the second period up until you scored. That said, you could've somehow snatched it right at the end, but you must surely be pleased with getting a point out of that game!
  • Actually pretty disapointed McCann missed a sitter and didn't win it for us lol. I was one of the hundreds of people with their heads in their hands after that.
  • wat was the its just like watching brazil chant? apparently brazil have started getting 11 men behind the ball and hoofing long balls up front!
  • I think it was more a reference to the "Dida" their full back pulled ;-) What was with the head bandage, did one of his eyelashes fall out?
  • He was the one that was being treated on the goal line when both trainers were on the pitch at once - I'm not sure whether they collided with each other or if he hit the post. The tussle with Mills must've reopened the cut over his eye.
  • Werling had the bandage on and he's German not Brazilian. It's just like watching Brazil was a chant fit for the match. Even was sang on the way out at the end haha. Souza, Werling, Howard and Muller are going to be hard to keep hold of.
  • The "It's just like watching Brazil " chant was one the Barnsley supporters first sang in their only Premier League season 10 years ago.

They were getting beaten most matches but one home game they were winning about 3-0. With a touch of humour they stated singing "It's just like watching Brazil " - and the muppet show on Match of the Day made a big point of it.

Now it's become a bit of a Barnsley anthem.

    Something like that, eh, dreamboy?
