Still remember the 3-2 away win just after christmas with Killer grabbing two and Phil Warmen the other,Simonsen said:
Or getting a sneaky little 1-0 away win...Robert Lee with the lob in 1986 and Kevin Lisbie with his header, whatever year that was.oohaahmortimer said:Will be great fun beating Chelsea’s stiffs or not….
…..longs for the days when we were a proper team smashing them 4-2 with proper players
Many happy days from London matches over the years .Just won’t happen this coming Saturday.0 -
Less than 200 tickets left. All single seats.1

I was at that but in the Chelsea end! Ended up in The Valley club after if it's the game I recall, but my memory is crap. Was there another 3.2 win away in the 70s? Killer came in late to the club and I remember being starstruck. I was young and shouldn't really have been in there.Lewis Coaches said:

I would think almost certainly. Gross receipts might be £600k? Worth about £250k to the club.Er_Be_Ab_Pl_Wo_Wo_Ch said:Open question, but perhaps one for @Airman Brown, @Henry Irving or others in the know - will we be setting new "record receipts" for this one?
Prices are up on the Wycombe game, and no Jimmy Seed segregation this time, so should be up on that. Wikipedia reckons current record is £400k for Leicester, FA Cup in 2005, which may or may not be accurate. I've no recollection how that game would have been priced at the various age bands, but Wycombe must have pushed the record close, even assuming half the crowd were concessions. Maybe Wycombe is actually the current record?
I don't know if such records are maintained and published these days, I may be out of touch and they're stats from a bygone era.

still after 4 tickets. together if anypne has spares0

Because it’s probably been 30 years since the club took the competition seriously and what was once an ‘event’ that was guaranteed to add thousands to the gate even in a season where league form was poor was turned around to one that was ‘guaranteed’ to knock thousands off the gate.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

Just didn't think there would be a) that many people willing to pay to go to the game b) that many Charlton fans with Chelsea mates.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

‘Anecdotally’, I’ve formed the impression that it’s the ‘Wembley reserves’ that are turning out in their numbers for this one.WSS said:

The biggest Valley crowd a fair percentage of those fans will have ever been in it would be a waste not toBaldybonce said:

There are currently 4 together showing top right of the East stand E block. You have to do a double take to spot them
I can’t seem to upload photos atm.

We'll hardly get a mention on TV or elsewhere with Rosenior coming in. Nathan Jones is going to have to do something really mental.

What’s the cheapest way to get TNT or Discovery + only to watch this game? Don’t want them for longerTelMc32 said:
Ties on BBC, ITV & TNT both teams get £80k each. If on Discovery+ only, the fee is just £40k. Our game is on both TNT and Discovery+, so we get the £80k.Blucher said:Do we have any idea of what the TNT live screening fee will be worth to Charlton ?0 -
Don't think you can, your best bet is finding a pub with it on or using a dodgy streaming siteHardyAddick said:

That’s Ok, it’s not a good couple of weeks to be taking over that job and just puts more pressure on Rosenior. If he’s smart, he will step back for tomorrow night and Saturday night and then start from Monday. He must have a remit that he has to finish the PL in a Champions League qualifying position, he must get to the semi-finals of the CL at least and he must bring in some silverware. He’s got the semi-final against Arsenal to deal with for the last part and a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush so the owners will have probably already conceded our game is 4th in priority even if they would still expect him to win it.WSS said:We'll hardly get a mention on TV or elsewhere with Rosenior coming in. Thanks @fen@fenaddick and @Tel@TelMc32 - not much of a windfall but I suppose there are so many live TV games in this competition.fenaddick said:

At least it will be a full house, so the live screening won't affect the attendance and gate money.0 -
