Safe standing has reduced it slightlyHastingsRed said:letthegoodtimesroll said:
When there just seem to be random seats dotted around each individual block for a few days now and the ground looking like it’s a whisker away from completely selling out it seems odd that no blocks (for non-Director box home fans) have managed to tip over the line and be shaded out
Is the full capacity still 27,111 or has this gone down.1 -
No, FA Cup broadcast deal stops thatAndyG said:

Filling up nicely now as more people see today's great away point away and think who's the next game against, oh and tickets still available in every almost block too.1
-
For folk still looking for seats together, don't give up hope. This week we can expect general returns to appear. Unneeded tickets held for club distribution to be released. Prime seats in the West attached to hospitality to be released from packages which fail to sell. And spares on here will crop up.
No guarantees, but that was the pattern in the lead up to the last sell out against Wycombe, which sold out far faster than this one, which hasn't even sold out yet.2 -
Cole Palmer looked and played like a man that was rapidly coming down with the flu. If he actually is then so will his teammates as the week goes on. Shame really because half of those looked like you could put a red shirt on them and you’d think you were watching us over the past couple of months1
-
And yet they got a draw away at Man City.letthegoodtimesroll said:Cole Palmer looked and played like a man that was rapidly coming down with the flu. It's the Valley, not Galatasaray.letthegoodtimesroll said:
If they / we get to the point where they need to risk bringing on their key players to turn the game in their favour then there will already be 24k home fans setting new noise levels and encouraging the Charlton players to new heights of performance and committed tackling. That may not necessarily be a good arena to introduce players you really need for much more important semi-final, PL and Champions League matches in the following week or two.Macronate said:

From the initial sales process it looked like a lot of ST holders in the Covered End moved into the East and West stands so they could buy extra seats. If that is the case then they will instinctively be more likely to raise the noise levels in those stands and others will join in. Wembley was a good example of that filtering effect.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

Enzo Fernandez got them the draw. He’s the danger man. They won’t risk starting him for this game. With any luck they might not even have him on the bench because of the much higher profile games either side of ours they definitely won’t want to lose. Without him they have no play maker to gel the team but if he is on the pitch I’ve noticed he seems prone to getting into little clashes with opposition players. We can work on that.superclive98 said:

I see 4 blocks not including the directors box and the away end have now been shaded out. A quick look and count at the west stand shows around 41 seats in the lower tier and 28 in the upper tier still available so I guess those will all go before the day is out. East stand has 63 still to go.
not checked the Covered End yet as that is bound to sell out anyway0 -
Will be great fun beating Chelsea’s stiffs or not….
…..longs for the days when we were a proper team smashing them 4-2 with proper players8 -
Or getting a sneaky little 1-0 away win...Robert Lee with the lob in 1986 and Kevin Lisbie with his header, whatever year that was.oohaahmortimer said:Will be great fun beating Chelsea’s stiffs or not….

Most seats remaining behind the goal in lower covered end, blocks C,D and E have between 18 and 24 seats each currently, none together.0

Can't remember if the under soil heating was repaired or not, probably going to be chilly.0

How do we pay to watch this match when abroad?0

It wasn't / hasn't been but won't be an issue looking at the forecast, which looks to be staying above zero.1 -

Since professional forecasters currently haven't got a clue what will happen Wednesday to Saturday, I don't share your optimism.DamoNorthStand said:jonseventyfive said:Can't remember if the under soil heating was repaired or not, probably going to be chilly.

HardyAddick said:How do we pay to watch this match when abroad?FAQs say Charlton TV, however please note this is what they say about skysports (and league) games not TNT (and this is different being the cup).
I would keep looking at the official club updates (on social media) they should provide an answer on the day. If you want an answer sooner always worth sending an email to charltontv@streamamg.com.Also worth looking at thisForeverAddickted said:

CharltonTV dont have ANY access to FA Cup gamesIts the one competition here in England where matches can't be streamed outside of BBC, ITV or TNT - If we get to the Fourth Round, and our game isn't picked for coverage anywhere, you wont be able to watch it0
-
I'm certain that at the end of the CharltonTV coverage of yesterday's game, Terry said something along the lines of 'we'll be here next week for the Chelsea FA Cup game, for those of you not at The Valley' - possibly it's audio commentary only thoughForeverAddickted said:CharltonTV dont have ANY access to FA Cup gamesIts the one competition here in England where matches can't be streamed outside of BBC, ITV or TNT - If we get to the Fourth Round, and our game isn't picked for coverage anywhere, you wont be able to watch it0 -
Wouldn't be surprised if he was talking solely about audio coverage... As think they'll be allowed to do that.Rufus is a dogs name said:

For those fretting, it’s on TNT and several overseas channels, that will mean loads of streams become available
on the day.2 -
Open question, but perhaps one for @Airman Brown, @Henry Irving or others in the know - will we be setting new "record receipts" for this one?
Prices are up on the Wycombe game, and no Jimmy Seed segregation this time, so should be up on that. Wikipedia reckons current record is £400k for Leicester, FA Cup in 2005, which may or may not be accurate. I've no recollection how that game would have been priced at the various age bands, but Wycombe must have pushed the record close, even assuming half the crowd were concessions. Maybe Wycombe is actually the current record?
I don't know if such records are maintained and published these days, I may be out of touch and they're stats from a bygone era.0 -
