    Good luck Jerome.

Let's hope he is as good as the last Jerome we had.

I saw JR get off the coach with the rest of the team today
Coach must have gone back for him or he caught it up? Honestly though indicates a lack of organisation behind the scenes. He should have been issued with a club phone before today so they all get on the coach together.
Or you were told something that clearly wasn't true. Fancy that

Is Jerome pronounced as in ‘Robson & Jerome’ or Jero-me as in Beadle?
we could sing watch out Beadles about
I’ll get the lyrics in a word doc to hand out to the fans.
    I’ll do it in shorthand.
Not a single lol for this gem. Made me laugh anyway mate.
    I know 🙄.
    Thanks mate 😄

Good, hopefully he absolutely tears the opposition apart and gets taken off after 45 mins to be ready for Saturday

Have a terrible hunch he'll just come on for half an hour and only make the bench Saturday

I do t think he will be able to start on Saturday tbh. If he was that close he’d have made the bench last week

Hold up. How can he play for the u21s when he's 32 years old?! Are we being taken for a ride again??

Based on the failed attempts to play either Hernandez and Campbell at LWB, there is a lot riding on Jerome coming in and being able to support.  We’ve got some key games as well.  In an ideal world we need 6pts from Pompey and Oxford, and I think we should look at Boro and Norwich as being games we can target to win in December too

For a long time now, the U21 rules have allowed three overage players (the Goalkeeper can also be > 21) to play in matches

So he will "feature for the U21's", lets hope it's not just a silly last 5 minutes "feature", and we can see some of what he can do, 'cos we need him up and running Saturday if possible...

From that line up it looks like he’s at LWB in a 3-5-2.

Have watched the first half hour and he looks miles away fitness wise. Appears to be properly blowing and carrying a fair bit of extra timber.

Would be amazed if he is anywhere near the first team on Saturday.

Made it to half time, nothing really to go on from JR, a few good touches but didn't look too mobile, will see if he makes an appearance second half...

Curious as to why we signed him now if he wasn't ready? Would've thought it would make sense to give him these u21 games first, then sign him if/when his fitness was up.

I suppose if we wait until he's match fit another club might nip in & sign him.

Probably right though I'm not sure the queue would've been too long, he's barely played for a while hasn't he?

Is there some kind of end of November deadline for signing free agents?

Agreed, but if we had spent 2 months getting him fit and then he signed elsewhere it would be a disaster.

Not that I'm aware of. I suspect he's just the best of a very meh bunch of free agents. He has played in the position we need at a higher level than we're currently at. Can't be many others, if any others, out there who fit that description and would fit our wage bill.

It's a shame he doesn't appear to be fit. But for all we know he could have trained with the first team this morning so might look less fit than he is.

Maybe he wouldn’t have agreed to play them without a contract. Doubt it’s an expensive one if it’s only for a month or so
