    Great draw
Will that one entice you out of your cup boycott?
Yawn - I’m a cup glory boy now I told you that

Typical, try to go to all the cup matches no matter who we draw. And I am away in Scotland that weekend. Told me mates we would draw a cracker now i can't go.

Wonder if a few of those cup stay aways will for this one.
It will me - I don’t want to watch our reserves play and they won’t be v Chelsea - I’m not going to watch Chelsea
  • Annoying. Was hoping for Huddersfield. 😔

Was hoping for one of the dullest 2 hours of my life watching our squad players play against Walsall or burton or similar - and lose

Should this end up on TV what’s the schedule and how ‘inconvenient’ could it get if we are unlucky ?

Is the worst scenario 530pm on the Sunday or are there some other obscure options?

    FA Cup sweepsake anyone?
I've got no prize to offer and I'm not going to faff about trying to collect monies in, but if people wanted to play just for fun I'd be happy to organise something. If this post can get 20 or more Likes, I'll set something up. Unless you were planning your own one @JustFloydRoad, in which case I'm definitely interested.

So last year's TV games for the Third Round:

    - Thursday @ 7pm and 7:45pm
    - Friday @ 8pm
    - Saturday @ 12:15pm and 5:45pm
    - Sunday @ 12:30pm, 3pm and 4:30pm
    - Monday @ 7:30pm

I really hope we take this one seriously, and for once I think we have the manager that might just do that. If we can somehow scrape a 0-0 draw and get them back to theirs for a proper thrashing we'll be doing well. But it'll be so much more interesting than taking two legs to beat the local paper mill boys.
    No more replays unfortunately!
Oh, that's a shame. Oh well, I suppose we can take them to penalties then, get them in front of the Covered End and anything can happen.
Moises Caicedo’s already messed up one penalty shoot out at The Valley

Forgot about tv’s ability to ruin a game - hopefully they will have seen our slump and decided there’s nothing to see

Do we have to play our third choice keeper to psyche him out then?

If there are that many slots, then it's practically guaranteed that this is on TV.

In my opinion, there are three very obvious TV options:

    Wrexham v Nottingham Forest
    Macclesfield v Crystal Palace
    Boreham Wood v Burton Albion

That leaves six slots and I'm struggling to see anything else more TV-worthy than Charlton v Chelsea. To keep this off TV, the other six would be from these eight:

    Portsmouth v Arsenal
    Cheltenham Town v Leicester City
    Franchise FC v Oxford Utd
    Sheffield Wednesday v Brentford
    Manchester City v Exeter City
    Liverpool v Barnsley
    Tottenham v Aston Villa
    Manchester United v Brighton

There's a full round of Premier league games in the midweek before the cup, so no PL teams can be selected for any Thursday or Friday night games.

Arsenal v Liverpool is on the Thursday night, which means their cup games can't be on the Saturday.

Let's hope they put out the 4th string team.
  • Seems like the balls weren’t mixed up properly as 10 plays 11. Much better than Burnley away, though (9 v 10).
  • Any predictions on what the ticket requirements will be? Points first, then season tickets?
    It’s a home game

Where is Brackley, anyway? It's nothing more than a name to me.

Season ticket holders will be given priority on purchasing their normal seat.

Would have preferred it away to tick another ground off but home will do nicely.
Blimey, the amount of times I’ve seen us play at Stamford Bridge must be close to double figures.
You’re old. There’s a whole generation that’s never seen us at at prem ground. Not sure how old Martin is, mind 🤣
I’ve done 72/92 current grounds of which 9 of the 20 outstanding grounds are in the Prem. Of the 9 outstanding in the Prem 6 of those have since moved to a new ground having been to the old so call it 78 if you like.

Ticket prices of £42+ put me off in the Prem years and our last visit there was also in 2006? Would imagine a large section of our support has never seen us play there.

My son for instance. Born in 2003 & probably starting taking him in 2006 or 2007. Only started taking him to away games in 2008. Seen us at Fulham & Man U in the cup but no other Prem teams. Gutted that we we finally played West Ham it was under lockdown rules.

Funnily though he is buzzing for this one. When I asked wouldn't he have preferred it at Stamford Bridge he said no because we probably wouldn't have got a ticket.

Mine too.  His first away was probably around 2009/2010 against Brentford.  He’s done Man U and Spurs (home end thx to a Tottenham ST acquaintance) but we’ve had as much fun(?) at Colchester and Port Vale.  Away would have been nice cos I haven’t been to the Bridge for 25+ years

I wonder if the club will see an opportunity to make a few quid and up the prices.
Almost certainly they'll do some 50/50 scarves as well :#

Maybe they just really didn't want to have to go there or come to us and thought booing would help get them the better outcome.

I think the games are spread between Thursday and Monday, so it's anybody's guess.

I don't think the Blackheath line is going to be running on a Sunday next year.

They are each Championship at home to Premier League.
