Really annoying that I come back from Australia on the 10th. Praying it gets moved to the Sunday
Same.. or a 24 hour pre drink flight

Where is Brackley, anyway? It's nothing more than a name to me.
Northamptonshire, near Silverstone, so in the Motorsport heartland.

Should this end up on TV what’s the schedule and how ‘inconvenient’ could it get if we are unlucky ?

Is the worst scenario 530pm on the Sunday or are there some other obscure options?
So last year's TV games for the Third Round:

    - Thursday @ 7pm and 7:45pm
    - Friday @ 8pm
    - Saturday @ 12:15pm and 5:45pm
    - Sunday @ 12:30pm, 3pm and 4:30pm
    - Monday @ 7:30pm
If there are that many slots, then it's practically guaranteed that this is on TV.

In my opinion, there are three very obvious TV options:

    Wrexham v Nottingham Forest
    Macclesfield v Crystal Palace
    Boreham Wood v Burton Albion

That leaves six slots and I'm struggling to see anything else more TV-worthy than Charlton v Chelsea. To keep this off TV, the other six would be from these eight:

    Portsmouth v Arsenal
    Cheltenham Town v Leicester City
    Franchise FC v Oxford Utd
    Sheffield Wednesday v Brentford
    Manchester City v Exeter City
    Liverpool v Barnsley
    Tottenham v Aston Villa
    Manchester United v Brighton
Why are Wrexham v Forest or Portsmouth v Arsenal more 'obvious' than Charlton v Chelsea?

They are each Championship at home to Premier League.
Only the first three are guaranteed TV slots. The media aren't going to pass up the opportunity to have the media circus at home to a Premier League side that finished 7th last season and are struggling this season.

There's not much between Portsmouth v Arsenal and Charlton v Chelsea imo. We have the appeal of a London derby and a guaranteed strong away following.

I do think Portsmouth v Arsenal offers slightly more, but I didn't state that in the post you replied to.

I think the edge that tie has over ours is:

Fratton Park is a tighter and louder stadium than The Valley.
Arsenal are bigger than Chelsea right now.
We don't have a reputation for giant-killing, whereas Portsmouth do (the 07/08 FA cup springs to mind).

There is a place called Charlton near them. Maybe they have a rival team.

On the other hand we have a more well known and "attention grabbing" manager. Nathan Jones vs Chelsea is more of a headline than John Mousinho vs Arsenal...

If Chelsea beat Charlton, Arsenal beat Portsmouth, Stoke (who we are due to play) beat Coventry and Sheff Utd (who Portsmouth are due to play) beat Mansfield…

Could the postponed match be rescheduled for 4th round weekend?

Finally a good cup draw! I’m guessing early kick off on Sat or Sun, whether on TV or not - it’s an obvious TV candidate you’d hope. Will we sell out The Valley?

(Before anyone asks, CAST have already clocked it might be deemed a high risk match by our friends in the Met and we’ll be asking about any “plans”)

'Hollywood' Wrexham vs Forest, because it is little olde Wrexham against a Premier League side.

Arsenal are playing Thursday 8th (against Liverpool) so hardly doubt (both of them) will play on Saturday.

Seems like the balls weren’t mixed up properly as 10 plays 11. Much better than Burnley away, though (9 v 10).
tv companies will be chomping at the bit to show that cracker at turf moor - got goals written all over it 😂
They could have dubbed it the Scott Parker derby.

Or a Thursday night, remember the new deal last year where there was not going to be any replays and games would be played over a weekend.

There is a strong chance Wrexham vs Forest and Swansea vs West Brom will be on TV, as BBC Wales tend to pick two games

Southampton vs Swansea and Sheff Utd vs Cardiff were picked by BBC Wales last year for example

There is zero chance of anything other than a Chelsea win, especially the way we’ve been playing. That means it’s the equivalent of Scotland playing in the World Cup or other tournament. We all start watching their games and usually switch to another channel after about 5-10 minutes in to the game when Scotland are already losing 1, or 2 nil and the game is starting to look like a complete bore fest as the other side ramp up the number of short passes to each other trying to get at least one opponent to leave their own 18 yard box

Can’t see the police allowing Chelsea to extend beyond the JS Stand unless Charlton bottle the home take-up and argue for it (which would be poor).

They have to don’t they?  We would have got 6000 at Stamford Bridge if we had been drawn away

Just hope any extra are the end blocks of the West rather than the AC which has been used in the past

TV or no TV it's a long way from when there were 3,000 Addicks in the west stand to watch us beat Coalville Town and those awful fixtures against Cray Valley PM
