HT 1-0 … don’t think we done to bad the first 20 was always going to be QPR after last week but Campbell and Leaburn we should be 1-2 up … and that’s the fine line between 0 points and 3 points …. … time to give Olaofe and Kelman a run as a partnership

Godden's experience is greatly missed and Jones might need to rethink his no loans policy on Monday

Needs to change up front early (not last 10 mins). Apter is getting no where and TC’s first touch of the ball was the 21st minute of the game.

It's a bit disappointing that we didn't see the storm coming in the first 10 minutes. Was always going to be a reaction from QPR and we should have sat deep for a bit.

With this set-up we need League One levels of chances to even score, and I can’t believe I’m already counting the days until Godden’s back

Last twenty mins it was all Charlton, but QPR still look more likely to score than we do. Both Campbell and Leaburn are involved but as last week the chances or attempts on the goal are too few. As for QPR, they are not good at the back and the manager has instructed them to foul anything that gets past them.

I have a feeling, this team is going to be a slow burn until they gell, similar to last season. Hopeful of going on a run when Jones gets them playing his way.

Awful start to the game,  no energy, no movement.
Got better after that, but the concerning thing is that we don't look secure at the back. Both Bell and Ramsay are having their worst games of the season.

Kone is everything we want Leaburn to be and TC is not a striker.

Second best all over the park and midfield has no creativity.

We have to improve on our free kicks, need to come out second half with a lot more impact especially up  front. Apparently we have had better possession, but only 1 shot on target

QPR seem quite comfortable in the shape, which we match but our players not as effective. Stopped the aimless hoof ball in last 15/20 min but finishing let us down. Jones was told "not to be loyal" after Wembley (maybe not the context). I would take out Doc, Leaburn and TC and replace off bench - maybe Fullah?

Real lack of quality from us in the final third. Lot's of great positions, but in the main poor execution. Especially from set pieces where we have the time to focus on getting the delivery spot on.

Even their goal came from our poor attacking quality - Edwards bombing forward and we whacked a ball nowhere near him, meaning he was out of position and they attacked down his side.

There is a separation in quality and know how -

That's what we are seeing in the champ so far.

Teams will learn they only need to score 1 against us.

Weve had some good possession and some bright play but that cutting edge we are missing.

We are not playing well but can still turn this around. I know I keep saying it but we need to find an option up front that can be a threat he won’t but if I were Jones I would make changes at half time and bring Kelman and Tanto on

Anyone wanna tell me why TC should be in this team today? Offering nothing.

Though it isnt just him, we seem to be 2nd best to everything.

Having TC up front is like playing with 10 men - he’s never going to score. We need something else up top.
Produced two of our three best moments. Take TC off and you’ll make QPR very happy.

At about 60-65 mins we need Knibbs on. I'd bring him on for Doc and pull Carey back into the 8. Give us a bit more in the box.

Can’t keep being ‘the better team’ and not winning games. Hopefully we improve in the final third second half.
We aren't the better team, we look shite
That’s because we are making it too easy for them to look good. QPR are like an away team feeding off the home team’s mistakes at the moment. If Charlton get one goal they will tear QPR apart. We need to stretch them a bit more and tighten up in midfield.

Terrible first 20 minutes. Much improved thereafter but I am concerned about where goals are coming from. Godden s experience is missed.

Get one goal from open play and I can see ye starting to score more frequently, think the fact we haven’t scored from open play for ages is playing on the minds of our strikers

The frustrating thing is how close we could be to having a decent season if we just tweaked what we do going forward. This reliance on crossing/set-pieces to only one striker isn't working.

Feel we're always going to be 'nearly' men in most games where we dominate the play but can't score.

The big question is how can we learn to score goals in this division.
    Ask Godden

our inability to score, across the season, will be our downfall. One that we've seen coming for a while.
Arguably, i think this start of the season mirrors the one from last season - i hope we don't have a similar run to early december too- which would leave us falling so far behind the pack

The answer is we need Godden back because I don’t see where the goals are going to come from otherwise

If we have to rely on goals from our semi-crocked 33 year old rather than our other four fit young strikers, I think we are in trouble.

Godden has experience and scored goals at Championship level - proven goal scorer for Charlton. Might also take the pressure of younger strikers ?

Kaminski could have done better for the goal.

Why he tried to save that with his feet i don't know.

Can’t see what Godden would have done so far  . It’s the supply and awful set pieces that have been the worst aspect of our play going forward .
I’m not Sure what Olaife has to do to get a game ?

In commentary with QPR's house commentators you'd think QPR are world beaters. Apart from the goal we have more than matched them. But as others have said- it's the taking of chances that needs to get better.
For endeavour and effort we are good but we need a killer striker to take those chances.
