If this weren't tedious enough, we got 4 subs coming on which 4th official can't seem to process

    JRC off Mwamba on

Does NJ think this is another preseason friendly? Four subs at once.
  • Basically a full U21 team left on the pitch… looks like we’ve given up on this one.

Again I really don’t want to be annoyed, because I know the league is much more important - but it leaves a little bit of a sour taste in the mouth when a very winnable match like this is treated as it was.

I also fail to see what players like Kelman and Knibbs get out of this (apart from more minutes under their belt).

We've got a free kick up on the left, Enslin to take.

I’ve tried to stay positive, but Nathan Jones has a £3.5m problem to figure out.
Well, he loves to spunk money on crap strikers.
In fairness , two good passes since the subs

I feel for Kelman, he's being set up to fail in this game. No decent service at all.
Just like Alfie May. Top goalscorers & NJ aren't a good mix.

What is annoying is Sheffield Wednesday with a youth team holding Leeds 0-0 in the first half, we play Cambridge and concede two.

I remember back in the day when you put out your strongest side in League & Cup. Maybe the odd change here or there....not the whole team with the bench full of teenagers.

Oh good. Here come the teenagers. This has really helped Kelman tonight hasn't it.
I remember when you said you'd quit Charlton Life if we sold Alfie May

Sheffield Wednesday must have a better youth system then

Genuinely think if we'd have played an under 21s side that's used to playing together, they'd have given a better account of themselves.

This mix of reserves/kids leads to no one being comfortable and just throwing the game due to lack of structure.

The benefit of having so many U21s on the pitch now is they’ve actually played together before so have some form of connection

Mwamba launches it right to Rylah, traps it nicely but then runs into trouble

I’m sure some people will see this as an overreaction but I actually think Jones has insulted the fans tonight with the team selection, subs and just lack of ambition shown. Of course the league has to be priority but this early in the season, with nearly 1000 fans there, it’s harsh that they’ve had to watch this’. The whole intensity of our league 11 to this couldn’t be further apart.

If we don't beat QPR after resting our first XI and missing out on playing a Prem team in the next round  - Jones needs digging out.

Could argue reactions like this is an insult from the fans? - Do we only support the best eleven players in the team, do the rest of the squad and the U21s who get an "opportunity" not matter?

Must be 3-5-2, Anderson, Fullah, Mwamba midfield 3, Mbick up front with Tanto, Enslin and Rylah as WBs
