Tanto gets levered over and the lino gives a throw to Cambridge instead. Cue an insulting chant from our fans.

That is woeful defending. Mitchell is all over the shop. Wing backs not providing any defensive support either. The team are not playing as a unit.

We need 2 more players in minimum before the windows closes

Poor half from a random team chucked together to play on a Tuesday night before a huge championship game early on Saturday.

    Pulse rates down everyone
We do not need to rest anyone. The ‘random ‘ team is a choice by NJ.

Who knows if the second half can see some improvement? If it doesn’t then the more established names are doing themselves no favours for a bigger role on Saturday.

But only one goal it so a half time rollicking from NJ may do the trick.
Why don’t we need to rest anyone?

90 minutes of incredibly hard work on Saturday I assure you will still be in most of those players legs
Because they are fit and able. Because we use substitutes. Because an international break is upcoming. Because a cup run is a good thing.
Doesn’t change the fact that tired legs get more injuries.

not worth the risk in my opinion
Christ with that attitude I don’t know why we would bother beyond the FAs minimum requirements to field a team.

We have an adequate squad. Indeed we’ve sent some out on loan.

Find Anderson tough to watch. Passes backwards all the time and constantly giving away a free kick

Fullah is the next shining star clearly.

Based on tonight Hobden is nowhere near ready.

Don't tell those muppets at the EFL, but I have the Charlton TV stream playing on my iPhone, and in the second half I am getting the video! But I cannot get it on my laptop. Honestly what a farce.

Not sure I'm going to enjoy this privilege, mind.

It suddenly appeared on my laptop 3 mins before halftime

Blatantly a Millwall supporter at EFL towers flicked the broadcast switch to "on"

Anderson gets crowded out, and gets booked for a foul trying to get the ball back.

Kelman and Tanto really showing us why they should be starting ahead of Leaburn and TC

Players now losing their heads & getting bookings.

    Utter shambles.
  • Too many basic mistakes....

Anderson one of the most frustrating footballers you'll see. Incredible off the ball, utterly wank with it
  • At least we are winning comfortably on bookings.

Players get better when they're not playing.

I feel for Kelman, he's being set up to fail in this game. No decent service at all.

He's the only youth player that should be anywhere near the first-team squad

Also nothing really on the bench to change the game.

I know he said he doesn't care for the cup, but Jones has really thrown this I feel

If only we’d had Terry Taylor available

I can’t believe there are people who were genuinely confused that Bell was starting over Macca you can see why.

I swear Jones has put out stronger teams in the pizza cup.

I guess with Alex Mitchell and Asiimwe on loan, and Burke not fully fit we’re a little short at the back.

But Hobdon, Laqeretuba and Zach Mitchell away to a Neil Harris team was never ever going to work out.

Hobden, Laq and Zach i don't think will play a lot for Charlton in their careers.

I have to say this is all feeling very Nov-2024. It's good to be back home.

Looks like we’re getting some changes ready, Enslin is one of them

I can predict that with a likely defeat tonight and losing to QPR on Saturday to nil that the Charlton diaspora go into a full on meltdown at 5:01 on Saturday. We need to keep it all in perspective so let’s calm down/
  • Don’t fancy Hobden much
Depends what ur type is I guess. Me too I prefer the female Cambridge physio phwoar

“We’ve really learned a lot (from our defeat to L2 or lower club) tonight, much more than we’ve learnt from our last six cup defeats to shitty lower league teams zzzz blah blah blah….”
