So, should Charlton drop prices to increase attendances?

At almost every match, there are groups of international fans on instagram i get multiple posts about
tours to BA to see Bocca & River Plate & Italy & Germany

Charlton should be making more of international packages with hospitality for fans
I've spoken to various dutch, germans they pick Charlton as its easy to get tickets and they like where the club is
they all seem very positive about coming to Valley, with a bit of imagination this is potential good business?
Not sure they would want hospitality though, the whole point is to experience what a match is like for a normal fan surely?

Tooting Red Army: Depends? with a bit of imagination - a international fan day package
you could include a stadium tour, musuem visit & access to fan zone etc and a meal before, of course the experience is sitting with Charlton fans is whole point , but an affordable package may appeal?

I meet an Amercian on train to Middlesbough a few Sundays ago, every year he cames over to see English football and was going to see Newcastle v Arsenal and mainly bought hospility packages - he was seeing 8 games on this trip including 2 in Germany.

Argentina football tours are 11 days in BA with 2-3 matches at Bocca + River Plate (on my bunk list!)
The Valley gives overseas fans, classic english ground in London making it very appealing, these international fans often take in 2-3 matches over 3-4 days
A trip to Buenos Aires for groundhopping would be absolutely fantastic, they play rounds of games over 4 or five days and have staggered kick-off times so would be able to do double headers.
It is a nice city as well, although not too cheap.

I did the maths of home attendances after the Blackburn game and have added in the Sheffield Wednesday figures too. It's a better barometer than overall attendances, especially now the JS is selling out more

    Watford - 18,640

    Leicester - 19,044

    Millwall - 20,153

    Blackburn - 17,437

Sheffield Wednesday - 19,919 (will include extra freebies due to Red, White & Black Day)

I can't see Millwall gaining many more fans if their capacity increased, personally
They've sold out a few Saturday games this season, so could definitely get more for their bigger games.

Some of attendance figures are very massaged. There was no way 23k were in attendance on Saturday and even with that there was a very high freebie dump for Red White and Black Day.

Its definitely going in the right direction though and as discussed on the Tourist Watch thread, overseas visitors taking in a game is hugely up
Depends where you sit i guess. From where i was in the north upper i couldn't see that you could get much more than another 3500 in.

I was in the North Upper and also thought the attendance was @23,000.

Someone I'm sure knows the exact turnstile count but I suspect you are overstating by 2-3k

Zoom in on the West and that was probably 1/2 to 2/3 full. The end blocks of the East were almost completely empty, I’d say the stand was 1/2 full, and there were lots of patches all over the ground that were similarly gapped. It’s still good, but it’s not the levels some think imo

West looked 80% full to me & does from the photo above = 6,509.
    East looked 70+% full = 4,410.
    North including quadrants 90% full = 9,000
    Total 19,919 home fans + 3,090 away fans = 23,009  :)

Was talking to Gavin Carter about 1.30 when he said the crowd was 22600- so about another 400 tics sold prior to KO would sound about right

Handy to know which minute during the game the pictures were taken.
