Thought he looked ok for most parts. Didn't really get challenged by Watford but was comfortable with most parts of what he had to do. There was one moment when he should have come to collect the ball, was hesitant and it put us under pressure. Luckily it didn't come to anything but saw him look over to a very frustrated NJ and he put his hand up patted his chest and said sorry. Good to see he acknowledged his mistake immediately. Thought his kicking was very good

Moment today where he doesn't come and then almost gives away the penalty only happens as players still learning eachother, next week Ramsay just puts that into the stand as he knows Kaminski is holding station

Similar to how everyone knew Deano wasn't coming to claim a cross and adjusted for it, just hope that adjustment this time around is quick!

Apart from the obvious error I thought he was hesitant when Ramsay couldn’t get it out from under his feet too.
I’ll give him the benefit of doubt that he may have thought that if he dived on it that it would have been judged a back pass, but he was very passive and didn’t control the situation.

Certainly not ‘nervy’, but seems to let the defence take onus of the situation- the ‘penalty’  was almost him letting the defender (Maca?) deal with it, who then got caught and TK had to then sprint into action.

Didn’t have anything to deal with today, albeit one or two crosses he should have come for

We were told that he’s brilliant on his line and good with his feet but less strong when patrolling his box - kind of the opposite of Mannion

Yet another player who has said that he appreciated Jones had done his research and recognised the strengths and areas of improvement that that player had also identified

Still no idea if he's any good, has had so little to do so far, and long may that continue.

Been disappointed with him so far. Realistically he's been tested very little, yet made a huge mistake at Watford that he got away with, and let a very tame effort that was straight at him, in today.

doesnt have much to do, and has let 2 deflected goals and a worldie past him - feels like he was brought in to the the whole 'calm playing out from the back, decent kicking range' rather than being a comfortable pair of hands/confidence between the sticks

Think he could've done better with the first goal. Can't do much about the others.

    Least of our worries.
I'd be more concerned about our attacking personell being capable at this level.

I actually thought he had a good second half. He went a bit early on the first goal, assumed Smyth wouldn't scuff it directly at him but to honest if you allow a player a shot that close to goal it should be going in anyway. Second half I thought he was quite commanding, positive coming out of his box and allowed the defence to push a little higher up to force pressure when we were looking for a winner. I was encouraged by it

He was calm and mature, but he doesn't claim anything coming into the box, forcing centrebacks to be heading clear on the edge of 6 yard box. Still unsure on him, but probably edges it over WM just with his experience.

Looks decent and comfortable enough on the ball and claiming but really should have stopped the first goal today

It's too early to know after 4 games. But it's fair to say the majority view that I've heard is a touch of disappointment.

I'd prefer Mannion after 4 games, he filled me with more confidence than Kaminski.

Shot stopping is similar at this stage, but Mannion would have taken a lot more crosses.

He's not had much to do in the 4 games but I remain far from convinced that he's better than Mannion.
I'd have been happier for us to have got a decent back-up to Mannion than a new number one.

Craig MacGillivray came from Portsmouth with high praise, let us hope Kaminski is more of a success.

One thing I feel keepers should be doing for corners and set pieces when you know the ball is going to whipped into the box, is to be bouncing, on your toes, showing some energy, and making your presence known to all and sundry that it's your area. The bloke is flat footed and rooted to the spot. He doesn't give any indication he's going to own anything.

I thought he got caught out by the pace of the shot.

I hope that I'm wrong but I can see this thread going the way of the McGillivray thread. I remember him being described as a good shot stopper as well.
From the little evidence we have I would say that Kaminski prefers to stay on his line and when he does come off it he isn't decisive (he should have given away a pen against Watford).
He has had hardly anything to do but has already conceded 4 goals. I didn't like the way the ball bounced off him yesterday, very McG.

Maybe my memory is failing me but I don’t remember Mannion being good at coming off his line at the beginning of the season but he greatly improved on it, particularly post Peterborough away. I have faith in Henderson helping Kaminski if needed

I don't remember whether he did or not but I don't ever remember it being an issue.

Didn't he make a couple of great saves vs QPR? One from a free kick edge of box that was right in the corner?

    Keeper is ok

Far from a great save from the free kick. Didn't seem to make much of an effort for the 2nd and 3rd goals.

I'm hoping that, like Bob Bolder, Kaminski will improve from a less than convincing start. Bolder was awful in his first couple of games but improved to the point, where he could be sensational.

I’m not sure at 32 years old a keepers going to suddenly do the opposite of what hes become so accustomed too the last 7-8 years. Just hope his shot stopping is decent should have stopped the first goal but he’s only had a very small sample for us to go off

Thought he should have done better with the first goal at the time, but I didn't have a great view. Watched the highlights and imho he definitely should have saved that.
