    The description haha 🐟

Designed by Reebok, the bespoke kit takes inspiration from the club’s roots. The all-over tonal aquatic blue, white, and grey fish scale pattern pays tribute to legendary local fishmonger Arthur Bryan. Charlton’s nickname, The Addicks, originates from the haddock meals Bryan provided to players - and he was also believed to be one of the club’s earliest sponsors.
There are new hats to go with it…

Not far from the bucket hat that the battered sausage fan has on in the photos, anyway.

Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t remember the sword thing being an issue for the blue Woolwich kit remake or the all black one with gold trim. Interested as to why there’s seemingly more reaction to it this time

Personally love the odd kit with just the sword
    Can’t dispute it’s an odd kit…

Gonna wait for the third kit whenever that's announced but am leaning towards the away kit. However I am a bit worried about the people saying the kits feel cheap even compared to Castore.

with the release of that kit to cause a distraction I’m starting to worry todays the day they quietly slip out an announcement we’ve sold Godden, TC and Jones…

I like the nod to the history of the club. Not really for me, but as a kit collector over the years, the ones that are marmite, are bought in small numbers so become more valuable over time. See you in 2050!

I think there was. I know plenty of people who don't like an official kit just being a sword.

Training gear, casual wear, random merchandise etc is different, the main kits should have our badge. Don't mind the colour being changed to match, but even then, some people don't really like that.

Nug's kit designs have been far superior. The club genuinely should have reached out or should do so in the future.

I won't buy our home kit unless it goes on offer for 50%, I'd have bought all of Nugs concepts on release.

No club badge.  So that's a no from me.
Yep, bit of a dealbreaker for me. Our. Badge is our badge and any variations from it should be on leisure shirts
I don't mind it at a pinch on the third shirt because that's the completely unnecessary banter shirt anyway, but it creeping onto the away kit feels wrong

I think they're the same, both have that hot print logo on as well. My castore sponsors have creased on some of my older shirts, my retro ones are still intact. You just can't beat sewn on sponsors/badges.

The only way I can describe the new material is flimsy. I imagine it feels cooler for players to wear, as it feels so thin and cheap, but I prefer the old school kits materials where it felt like the shirt was weighing on you a bit.

Very on trend with recent Premiership sides away shirt offerings. Looks good on two of the three featured people eating the fish and chips (and maybe that's the point). I think the black piping works better than on the home shirt but why black? Couldn't they afford dark blue. The RSK logo dominates.

For all these quibbles, it's new and different and will certainly do the job under floodlights on a rainy away game. Bring on the third kit.

Yeah I've got some of the old Joma kits and they just feel so much higher quality, properly stitched badges and everything.

Might be one where I wait for them to be on sale and grab them then.

I hated Castore, but the shirt material was better quality than Reebok.

The new kids kits sum it up - the material feels like cheap polyester you'd get on a fake kit from a market stall, and the badge/sponsor etc are part of the fabric of the shirt itself if that makes sense, so not even stuck on... and the shirts are still £40!!

It's new. It's something a bit different. I like it.

The simplified badge doesn't really bother me. In fact I actually quite like it on the non-home kits.

The tenuous back story would have been better if it was a nod to fish puns on Charlton life.

    I really like it.

Yeah that makes complete sense! Just like those cheap fake kits you buy on holiday with badges and sponsors printed into the fabric.

Oh, that bloody ugly huge logo 😱
Will fall off after a few washes like the rest of them.
Hasn’t happened to mine and it’s washed every week as I wear mine to the gym.
Absolutely, or at least until the logo started coming off, then the wife switched to hand washing them for myself and my boy as it was happening on all of our Castore shirts.  Haven't tried putting the new one through the wash yet.

Think I must have got lucky with my Castore shirt but never had any issues, wash inside out on cold and with very minimal spinning and it seems to work fine

I never bought that either for the same reasons.  No badge, no thank you.

Spot the problem with the socks (unless it's meant to be a rallying cry)

Amateur! Do like having Addicks on the back of the socks though
