It's like the mortgage chain when selling your house. If nobody is willing to sell in the first instance then there are no transfers. League 1 team are more constraint by budgets so seem to be at the start of the chain and allow our prize asset to be sold in the hope that something falls out further down the line. I'd say a lot of clubs at our level would almost need to be sure they can recoup their money before getting someone in.

Good shout about Joe Mason, wouldn't be surprised if he went to Plymouth though as he started his career there and supports them, still only 27 and has played most of career in championship so could be decent enough for us.

Would take Rossi in a heart beat, can't believe he is only 32! More likely to sign Paulo Rossi though.
