Hernandez is not good enough at this level and he might just find that his ridiculous handball might just see him dropped from the squad next game.
Much as I hope Hernandez is sitting on the naughty step all the way home - and in that part of the coach that has got no heating - in fairness he had a pretty good game against WBA the other night.

One mistake today surely can't mean the end of his career here.
I was annoyed as everyone with his stupidity today, but I think he’s decent enough to be a squad player in a lower budget Championship club.

The only mistake Onel made was waving his hand in the air, the rest was total guess work by those so called officials, if you ain't 100% then you can't give, we woz robbed I tell ya...

We're really missing Kelman and until he's back we're going to struggle. The next three games are horrible Southampton, Stoke and Coventry. I can see us only getting a point from those games.

Don't hold your breath . I was told he’s out long term .

"One fit attacker". So Miles did have an issue also.

Lloyd and Ramsay both ill. Lloyd was wearing a mask on the team bus.

Still doesn't explain why the likes of JRC, Apter and Anderson didn't feature. Or why Berry, as an experienced attacking player, didn't get longer.

The ref consulted the lino. Lino confirmed. Seeing as said lino couldn't see a single offside nobody could fathom how he could give it from our side of the ground. I agree, it was a total guess.

neither TC or Hernandez can play lwb.  I’d rather play Apter or JRC out of position
Why not Enslin who is almost 21, left footed, 6ft, has experience at LWB, has a league game under his belt, and can score goals?

After watching NJs interview, it would be nice to play them at full strength,Jones,Bree and Ramsay all ill/injured. Bare bones at the back what with both LWBs out as well. NJ still not sure after watching it back that Hernandez touched the ball but said that he gave knobhead ref a decision to make. Pure guesswork officiating, even var wouldve struggled with it.

I‘m assuming Jones didn’t actually call the ref a “knobhead”?!

They got it right. The “It must’ve been guesswork, they can’t have been sure” argument is a crock of shit.
Like everyone else, I didn’t see it first time, but someone on the refereeing team did. You can’t blame them for that.

If you’re going to blame anyone, blame Onel.

It was an unedifying spectacle generally but we should probably have got back on the bus with a point, notwithstanding Wrexham’s improved second half showing.

The game turned on two pivotal moments, namely, Knibbs missing a sitter in the first half and then the mindless handball by Hernandez. We offered very little in the second period, although moving Campbell further forward did at least offer us an out ball. A great effort by Berry at the death but it wasn’t to be.

Neither Knibbs or Tanto impressed. In mitigation, the latter was very isolated up top, although I thought his first touch was poor. We battled hard at the back to keep Wrexham out but I thought that both Bree and Gillesphey were below par and we were a little ragged at times as a result, particularly as the game wore on.

I was a little surprised that Leaburn and Apter didn’t get on if they were both fit.

I haven’t seen Wrexham play this season but - at the risk of sounding bitter (which I am) - I thought they were pretty bovine. For a club that spent £33 million this summer, their football is very unattractive, although I guess that’s how Parky rolls.

A good chance now for the lads to rest up and recharge before the next round of games, although I fear we will not see Bell or Edwards fit this side of Christmas.

Wrexham 14 looked Offside just before Hernandez rush of blood. We looked short of ideas.
    Can’t win everything.
Dont quite know what point is of the Welsh language announcement when it is the EFL.

When we signed Hernandez I thought he was a LB/LWB but he is obviously righr footed. Apart from his mare today, given Bree's lack of form, he might be worth a game in his prime position.

The worst stewarding I have ever seen tonight.

A beer was thrown into the away end and things kicked off. The stewards were only interested in speaking to the Charlton fans and did absolutely nothing to the Wrexham fans. They even asked a Charlton fan, who was completely uninvolved (other than getting covered in beer) to leave the ground. He refused and, after protests from Charlton fans around him, they dropped it.

A Wrexham fan then began throwing hard projectiles into the away end, one of which hit me in the head. This was reported to the stewards, who decided that doing absolutely nothing and allowing the guy to continue was the correct course of action.

Post-match, I asked another steward if I could speak to the Stadium Safety Officer and was given a load of abuse. It's up to the police to deal with now.
That’s awful. How is your head? Worth contacting Charlton too (as well as the police). Modern football grounds have CCTV everywhere so hopefully the culprit can be identified, utterly ridiculous behaviour.
    My head is fine, thanks.

I am not sure what Charlton could do, but I also plan on contacting Wrexham to see how they will handle both it and the awful response from the stewards.

However, I won't hold my breath as complaints about stewards tend not to go anywhere with clubs. I am aware of several complaints being made against Stockport County's stewards last season for assaulting both Barnsley and Birmingham fans, almost causing a crush at Blackpool and harassing and threatening several Charlton fans. Stockport denied all incidents took place, despite video evidence, and that was that.

Is there any video footage of the build-up to the handball as it looked offside to me and several others inside the ground.

I'm actually hoping he was waving goodbye, 32 and seen better days for sure, a short term deal, definitely brought in to provide cover, but the closer we get to the January window then a decision will be made, I don't think the club will extend the deal.

Yes because we seem to like a scapegoat, it was a fuc*^g mistake that happens in football, we had chances and didn’t score so at best we would have been 1pt better off. Try supporting the team instead of looking to blame people. We are 2pts off playoffs FFS.

That was sloppy from Hernandez. I can imagine NJ will be so frustrated with that. I think he had actually set us up perfectly for a draw or a late winner until that debacle. Hernandez is experienced but that was a schoolboy error that cost us. Let’s face it though, we can’t really grumble with our league position. But, it’s still frustrating when you lose like that.
  • I was still moaning at the lino for being 20 yards behind play to see their player offside I didn’t see the penalty. Thought we were good value for at least a point. Needed to take the chances in the first half.

Who’s talking about scapegoating? It was a mistake. Made by Onel. He was to blame. It’s not like I’ve got a pitchfork and storming Sparrows Lane baying for blood. Jesus.

Hopefully the 32 year old grown man will cope with me cruelly saying he was at fault for his mistake and come back stronger.
