Wish Gillesphey could play a bit quicker, and cut out the passes to the opposition
Had no option up front as an outlet plus played into awkward positions by others. Midfield were all poor today in positional play, passing and 2nd phase.

Felt like the old days in League 1. We were v disjointed. Some have said credit to Kaminski but I wasn’t happy that he didn’t claim a ball two yards out and also parried the Windass shot straight back to Moore. He doesn’t give me as much confidence as he should, given his experience.

I hope Fullah’s confidence isn’t too knocked by that. Not bringing on Leaburn for Tanto late on also a surprise. TC is wasted at LWB but we are in pretty dire straits with the injuries there. Felt sorry for Hernandez - I had no thought of it being a pen in real time and even on replays it’s not clear if the ball brushes his hand. The ball was going away from goal in any case. Imagine ref will enjoy his Hollywood moment on Netflix.

Starting to hate this lot almost as much as Smallwall and Palarse.

Sounds like Wrexham did to us what we've done to other teams: withstand the pressure, nick a goal and see the game out. Very frustrating game, but with the way we play, the margin for error is almost always going to be very narrow and it won't aways go our way.
Certainly. And with Moore and Windass running around with them awful hairstyles made my blood boil. I despise them more than I do any Palace or Millwall players. And don't get me started on Parkinson thinking he beat their fiercest rivals. Fuck the whole lot of them.

Anyway, we looked leggy as fuck. I don't give a flying fuck about the international games, but the break is welcome. Need to freshen up the team. What's up with Apter, Anderson, JRC and the likes?
WTF did he say that? I was boggling when Jason Mohammed described it as a grudge match on Final Score, but really? Us more than Swansea?

It might be one of the most stupid, mindless errors I have seen a player for from Hernandez there, surely has finished his chances of getting a proper contract here.

They didn't withstand the pressure. We barely laid a glove on them in the second half. Don't understand why we were so negative in the second half.

We seem to be playing Knibbs based on his transfer fee and not his ability.
Would have hooked him earlier and given Anderson a go

Stupid from Hernandez, completely cost us a point. What has Apter done to NJ that he isn’t worth bringing on when you need a goal?

A game to forget. Neither side could complain if that had finished 0-0. Terrible advert for Championship football.

Thank f*** for international break. Decent rest for the players who won't be going off with country. Really need our defence back to strength and fitness.

Hope the usual suspects don't fill this thread with hyperbole about never wanting to see Onel in a Charlton shirt ever again. Bloke made a mistake which unfortunately cost us a point. He's experienced enough to bounce back and all forgiven if he pops up with a winning goal in the near future.

Final point, exciting moment for Fullah to get an hour from the start. Great experience for the lad to learn from.

Nathan Jones: "It's a moment of madness that has cost us at least a point. Lloyd, Bree and Kayne Ramsay would normally not play because of illness or injury." #cafc

    — Richard Cawley (@RichSCawley) November 8, 2025

NJ: "We still had a chance late on. I'm proud of the group for what they have given me.

"He is not a full-back - we are stretched to the absolute limit. That is why Onel has had to play there. It's a false position for him." #cafc

At the game. The worst set of officials I have seen. I offered the lino my glasses. Nobody had a clue why the penalty was given.
Thought we controlled things pretty well up to that point. Knibbs should've scored, great chance at the end tipped over. Other than that we didn't show enough threat up front. Worried that Jones was carrying an injury. Kayne dealt with Moore well and we were solid at the back.
Draw would've been deserved. Feel cheated.

    PWR

first half was okay, a bit of endeavour and Knibbs really should have scored, but the lack of proper presence up top was even more visible when they had Moore at the end who looked such a presence in contrast

ridiculous pen to concede, so frustrating but they battered us second half so can't really complain on the outcome...

always likely, performances have been poor for a while and you can't succeed every game when they are played on the knife edge of nil nil... we've reverted back to the style of much of the first half of last season, and like last season we will need to find a way to improve a bit if we are to keep ourselves in the top 10,

we'll be fine either way but relying on the backs to the wall defence and hoping to scramble a goal at some point won't be good enough for a top half

thought Ramsay was superb and Carey was brilliant again, what a player

First quote shows NJ doesn't want to play JRC or Apter at RWB, one of them will have to in 2 weeks though

Two well-matched teams, and it was a game that had 0-0 all over it until the penalty. Hernandez shouldn't have jumped as he did but I doubt he was brought in to play in that position so I'll put it down as unfortunate rather than stupid! Definitely need a backup LWB in the January window.

Their keeper made three very good saves so we did have chances but the experiment with Fullah didn't really work. Good to test him out but let's see him as an impact sub in the near future.

I don't know why we are seeing nothing of Apter and JRC. There must be good reason.

Seems like injuries are taking their toll & the seasons catching up on us.

Tbh we haven't looked good in weeks & got a fortunate win on Tuesday with a last minute goal, otherwise it would be 3 draws & a defeat in our last 4.

I think we'll stay up & should get 60-odd points, but the next 3 games are very tough. As I said elsewhere, we always seem to have a dodgy couple of months once the clocks go back and things dont usually get any better until the New Year.

Let just hope that Godden is back for Southampton, and the defenders are back fit soon after.

NJ teams are not a good watch.
If you’re being fair Wrexham got lucky today too, gifted a pen when one of our players forgot that he wasn’t allowed to use his hands. Match really felt like a 0-0.

The worst stewarding I have ever seen tonight.

A beer was thrown into the away end and things kicked off. The stewards were only interested in speaking to the Charlton fans and did absolutely nothing to the Wrexham fans. They even asked a Charlton fan, who was completely uninvolved (other than getting covered in beer) to leave the ground. He refused and, after protests from Charlton fans around him, they dropped it.

A Wrexham fan then began throwing hard projectiles into the away end, one of which hit me in the head. This was reported to the stewards, who decided that doing absolutely nothing and allowing the guy to continue was the correct course of action.

Post-match, I asked another steward if I could speak to the Stadium Safety Officer and was given a load of abuse. It's up to the police to deal with now.

Sorry but it was handball and a penalty.

Maybe offer your glasses to Hernandez next time ;-)

So the Disney c***s found a way to be even more loathsome.

We better fuck them up at The Valley... On the pitch, of course. We've got some class.

Swansea is best part of four hours away from them and they haven't played them for over 20 years. Not sure there'd be any great rivalry there. Though they did seem to get very upset by Nathan's Circus comments.

Knibbs has failed to impress me yet for the fee we paid, i don't know what he excels at
Knibbs misses one opportunity, fans are disappointed.  TC misses 20 straight opportunities and he is “dangerous” or they blame Kelman, others.

That’s awful. How is your head? Worth contacting Charlton too (as well as the police). Modern football grounds have CCTV everywhere so hopefully the culprit can be identified, utterly ridiculous behaviour.

Maybe a game too many this week with the injuries and appears illness, neither team deserved to win, they had the slice of luck needed. Not going to sit and start picking individuals to lambast. Take it on the chin use the time off well and go again.

A disappointing defeat, but we looked tired out there and as an attacking force in the second half were almost non existent. Plus our defence looked pretty battered and bruised too. Which makes not using more of the the squad, confusing.

Why only 3 subs today? And why have certain players, like Rankin-Costello, Apter and Anderson become completely sidelined? RC or Anderson could have replaced Doc today as starters, while Apter would surely have been a reasonable replacement for the tiring Bree when we were chasing the game.

I'm unconvinced by Knibbs, especially is to accommodate him Carey is being moved back into the midfield 2. He's our biggest goal threat, he should be near the box, not pinging in balls from deep.

I thought Tanto did well in the 1st half as the lone striker, before the team as a whole faded.
