Tractor boys needed a bleed out, Can of Eazi Start. Booster batteries and still they stalled.

Rode our luck first half but gave them a lesson in manners in the second.

    Fantastic

  • Yeah we rode our luck in the first half but we came out of it with two (maybe even three) of the best scoring chances. Second half we just stepped it up and Ed Sheeran’s boys couldn’t handle the heat

We looked a little behind the pace in the opening fifteen minutes of the first half. No one wanted to get on the ball when we had a chance and it was as if it was a game of hot potato. Except Sonny Carey, who was brave and up to it the mad bastard. Then in the second we were lobbing grenades left, right and center. They couldn’t cope!
    He’s a Norwich lad right?
He is. His family all still live here. Was released by Norwich and played for Kings Lynn before Blackpool picked him up. Some player.
  • And to think I was dreading the second half..
  • Brilliant game plan by NJ and fantastic effort by all the players to carry out that plan. Of our summer signings, Bell and Carey were outstanding, but a word too for Tanto and Charlie for keeping going up front.

And what a joy to see TC and Miles coming on to kill the game. They looked like they were enjoying themselves and TC especially was relishing the opportunity to come on fresh and have a run at tiring defenders. Keep him as a strike weapon in the second half and he will score and create goals at this level.
  • We're going to meet Millwall at Wembley in the play off final, aren't we? :-)

A statement win for sure ,could of had more tbh ,tc ,kelman ,tanto big chances .
To be fair, Kelman’s big chance was a cracking saved shot from outside the box that led to the corner we eventually scored from so feels harsh to lump him in with the others there. He will get his goal soon, of that I have no doubt

I can't remember a better performance than that second half, absolutely unreal. Bedlam for that second goal
  • Anything is possible with this team & this manager. I’m not ruling out a play off place. We may not have the best players in this league but what we must definitely do have is a TEAM.
Outstanding discipline & 100% effort from every single player & a manager they will run through brick walls for. Sonny Carey gets better with every game. And it’s only a matter of time before Kelman scores!  Superb !!

I know there are a few TC lovers on here who talk of the job he does from the off but my god is he dangerous as an impact player! Will give him
    so much confidence!
  • I’m still stunned, an absolutely outstanding result, every single one of them was excellent.

Wonderful performance, right up there with 4-2s against Arsenal and Chelsea all those years ago.A few mentions of "rode our luck",no way, that was a disciplined well planned out performance ,no luck about it.Every man has a job and did it to the letter,Leaburn and Campbell were pretty much unplayable,I think you would have had to shoot Gillespey and Jones to get anything out of them tonight. Can we maintain this on saturday,a big ask,but this team wont give an inch to anybody.

I was predicting we’d lose 3-0 after the first 20 mins.
After that, bloody brilliant.  Can’t remember a better away performance than that.
And for me, apart from the overall team performance, the best thing was that TC is finally firing on all cylinders!

What the actual…and I cannot stress this enough…fuck?!

That second half was peak Nathan Jones. Absolutely drowned them out, ground them down, then punched them right in the dick (three times). Perfect.
This is honestly the best summary of how we play I've ever heard!

That second half performance against a really good team will be remembered for years. Sonny Carey is such a force of nature, keeping a very good player in Harvey Knibbs out of the team and absolutely snatching his opportunity with both hands. Gillesphey again with such an important goal.

First half I felt we rode a bit of luck, Clarke was dangerous all night but first half he was causing us untold problems. My own thought was they are going to be angry going in level after the chances they had.

What a performance second half, we are such a horrible team to play especially when we go one up.

So happy for the players and everyone who went tonight

That is a big moment. Jones said we’re on a journey not destination. He’s got big plans I think.

The Ipswich fans were debating how many they would get before kick off.

    Suck on that.

    It’s been sensational since Christmas.

Wonder if it turns out our best striking combo were already in the building and just needed some good competition
  • Our best all round performance under Jones. We looked class. Helped by a couple of big decisions finally going our way, their offside goal and TC's pull back for Leaburn's goal, which most refs this season, would have ruled out of play.
TC looked a different player with fresh legs, and Leaburn looked back to his best.
Shout out to Gillespie who always seems to nick important goals at the right time

...considering Sky spent most of the pre-game chatting about Ipswich and how good they are, how they've won 3 in a row at home, how they're a strong team that are play off contenders etc.. then ended the game saying that "clearly Charlton are play off contenders", maybe it's time they gave us the respect we deserve and give us the same sort of attention finally!
