Was a moment when watching that I thought back to around this time last year when we played Crawley at home. My word how far we have come!

The first goal is what I love because every defender hates to be run at. No matter what level of the game.
Second goal comes from a low cross (my favourite kind) you either deal with it or in this thay couldn't. The third was from pure determination and crosses on the by line and there was leaburn by himself as he would be because most of the defenders would be down the side of the pitch to stop that cross from ever happening.

All 3 goals were goals I would be so proud of. And even though they could of had a few themselves they didn't. Yet we did. Luvly stuff.

A fantastic evening where we defended superbly but also took a number of chances that came our way. Nathan Jones is an exceptional coach and we are lucky to have him.

None of us predicted that, especially Ipswich, first half the had us totally out classed but we go in 0-0 they came out expecting a rinse and repeat with a "it'll come attitude" and we simply blew them away as a result.

The Tanto and Kelman partnership was fine, 2 hard working forwards who managed a couple of chances it worked just as well as TC and Kelman, similarly, TC and Leaburn coming on together worked beautifully as the second half change offering pace skill, goals and assists.

    Ramsay was back to Rambo.
Leaburn looking the prospect he's supposed to be.
    Bell comfortable.

Carey - championship signing of the season.

    Absolute immense win that.

  • Wow indeed …A Nathan Jones masterclass, hugely proud of the performance and shift the team put in. COYA’s

Posted this on the match thread but sums it up for me - If it wasn't so fucking funny I'd maybe feel a little sorry for Ipswich fans. They are the better side and have had some great chances but whether its just not fallen for them or they have fluffed their lines or the decision hasn't gone their way. Us on the other hand have rode our luck perfectly!

6 months ago I was with my business partner and his dad who are Chelsea fans - as Ipswich outplayed them and should have come away with more than a point.

Stunned. Literally the turnaround this club has seen in the last 12 months is like nothing I have seen in my 45 years.
Not even the turn around under CP? Same amount of time but we smashed the league, finished 9th in our first season back up.

    Absolutely superb.

Rode our luck a bit in the first half but we did defend well against their waves of attacks. Olaofe and Kelman looked good upfront and the former should have had a goal when he got 1 on 1 with the keeper.

Second half we were different gravy. Carey was everywhere and thoroughly deserved his goal from a driving run and great finish. Kelman continues to look more comfortable and he was very involved today, linking up play well and being a pain in the net for their defenders. He just needs a goal, which I don't think is far off.

Coventry and Docherty worked tirelessly in the middle and all of our defenders put their bodies on the line to repel attack after attack. Special shout out to Ramsay, who was outstanding.

TC and Leaburn came on and were immediately involved. TC was so good as a sub he may have done himself out of a starting place lol. As well as the assist for Leaburn, he ran at their defence and terrorised them and put in some good crosses. So happy for Leaburn to get a goal, which may or may not have come from a ball out of play. It will do him the world of good.

I secretly hoped for a smash and grab win but never saw this in a million years. It could have finished 5-0. On to Hull with confidence.

Usually I give some deep thoughts after a game but all I can say after that is that was just an utter masterclass in both defending and attacking. Utter brilliant performance

Can we give Sonney Carey the Player Of The Season Award already please?
Never mind deep thoughts, they all deserve deep throats after that.

What's scary is we can really point to Leicester and Millwall at home and gripe quite loudly at dropped points, at least 1 to Leicester on the balance of the whole game, and 2 to Millwall. With that suddenly we're knocking on the door of the automatic places...

That is a special team. Could do nothing but defend for the first 50 minutes, but as soon as Ipswich lost faith, punished them. Incredible.

Probably the best Charlton performance I have seen live on Tv.

Well done Nathan and the boys, wonderful stuff.
  • Annoyingly this was supposed to be quite a relaxing season.

I had no expectations, felt we'd get beaten a good few times, thought we'd win, and it would end up being quite uneventful as we comfortably avoided relegation by finishing around 18th. Instead it looks like we might have ANOTHER potential Play-Off campaign, so going to be nervous each week, hiping we can keep this up.

In truth I am happily strapped in and ready for whatever ride Nathan Jones wants to take us on

    Dreamland!!
  • Genuinely stunned. What a result!

    We did amazing. Super proud.
  • Magnificent. People might say it’s not pretty, but do I care. 3-0 away win at Ipswich. Best defence in the league.

We looked a little behind the pace in the opening fifteen minutes of the first half. No one wanted to get on the ball when we had a chance and it was as if it was a game of hot potato. Except Sonny Carey, who was brave and up to it the mad bastard. Then in the second we were lobbing grenades left, right and center. They couldn’t cope!
