Jeez, what the hell has happened to our club?19

That was the football equivalent of a Rocky fight!!18

If there's one thing I've learnt from tonight, it's that I miss football from the 70s14

Bet NJ is going off on one with all the passion! Mad fucker but hes our mad fucker!19

Huge win. Not many teams will get 3 points and put 3 passed Ipswich at Portman Road this season.Ipswich were easily the best team we’ve played this season and we did a proper job on them. Absolutely love it. Nathan jones does it again.14

That is an absolutely peak Jones performance. Lots of huff and puff and toil but when we smell blood we go for the throat. To go from happy to see out a draw at the end of the 1st half to wanting a 4th goal by the end of the 2nd... football, bloody hell.

You can beat Ipswich away but you've got to have Appleton as manager...CAFC_boi said:This result has made all the last few years of pain worth it. This is the moments we support Charlton for. Fantastic result. Every single man was excellent.. including TC!! COYA!!

The biggest thing for me about the Championship is that, unlike previous years, the three relegated teams from the PL have struggled to impose themselves. Apart from Coventry who look invincible at the moment, any one of a dozen sides could make the automatics let alone the play offs. Why shouldn't we be one of them?14

Some nice night time reading for you all

Lads, Ladettes, I've been in meetings all match except for during Sonny Carey's goal. I have paid fuck all attention to my meetings as I've had the game on my second monitor. What a game! What a result. We got battered in the first half. I can't believe we won 0-3. I don't even know where to begin because everyone was excellent. How did we do that? Nathan Jones red army!!!!!!17

What a result. Would’ve killed to be in that away end.
Lots of talk about TC/Oloafe etc.
Both have shown they can be game changers when they come on. We’re lucky to have both.Amari Bell. Sonny Carey. What business.27 -

Sonny Carey on a free might be the best by of business we have done in a long long time, what a player.53

You just know Wrexham will turn things around after spending a couple of billion in January.7

I have no words.
Plenty on here are now saying thank fuck for that11 -
I'm not quite sure what I've just witnessed. We held on in the first half and I was delighted going in 0-0 at the break.
We then decided to channel prime Brazil in the second half and was superb! Carey was brilliant again and that Ramsay last ditch tackle was probably the best bit of defending you will see all season.
Still in shock.

Especially as Blackpool fans said he weren't up too much!Covered_End_Lad said:Sonny Carey on a free might be the best by of business we have done in a long long time, what a player.6 -

Incredible result the best under Jones management superb performance.. great play by Kelman for the first but great shot by Carey .. great effort by Kelman saved and again second goal lovely play from Coventry and Carey and Gilly in the right place , third bit of luck for once the ball looked out of play as Campbell chipped it back in unmarked Leaburn simple header …
for once the subs worked although think Kelman was unlucky to be pulled , but Campbell looked 100 times better coming off the bench and Leaburn was better , but Ipswich were pushing forward at that time .. …

Well that felt so so good after the batterings Ipswich have given us in recent years.
I cannot believe what a muppet I was during that sticky phase to question Jones ability as a manager and coach - the man is ridiculous. The team he has built, and credit to each and every player for not only buying in, but executing, is an absolute joy to watch.12 -
I put something similar on the match thread but credit where credit is due them travelling Addicks made that game sound like a home game, from start to finish, well done all of you guys & girls…job done
safe travels home…14 -

Fantastic result
Bit worried in the first half.
Second half 3 goals.
We have a great manager7 -
GREAT RESULT!
First half we struggled to keep up with their little flicks and forward momentum - but went in at HT 0-0 and fairly so! Olaofe should have done better with his 1v1 too...
Second half we came out with more of a game plan to nullify them, and it worked to a tee! Doc and Cov covering every inch of the pitch, whilst the back 5 were nothing short of superb. Carey fast becoming a fan favourite and provides a real spark and can go alone when needs to. Maccas goal was just what we needed to settle a few nerves and get our 'taste for blood'.
Leaburn came on and really showed what we needed from him, and what we have come to expect - he seemed A LOT fitter than previously which is great to see.
BIG shout out to both Kelman and Kaminski - both outstanding today. Kelman proving that his work rate and tenacity is desperately needed, just a goal eludes him. Kaminski picks up another clean sheet and slowly proving his worth, both with playing out from the back but also his reaction saves.
Lets go to Hull, shut them out and bring home a point or 3!
YOU REDS!!!6 -
6 months ago I was with my business partner and his dad who are Chelsea fans - as Ipswich outplayed them and should have come away with more than a point.
Stunned. Literally the turnaround this club has seen in the last 12 months is like nothing I have seen in my 45 years.19 -
Wow....
Just wow2
