We looked a little behind the pace in the opening fifteen minutes of the first half. No one wanted to get on the ball when we had a chance and it was as if it was a game of hot potato. Except Sonny Carey, who was brave and up to it the mad bastard. Then in the second we were lobbing grenades left, right and center. They couldn’t cope!
    He’s a Norwich lad right?

Have we had a better result in the last 18 years?
  • That was excellent. Saw the first half, and then had to leave to get to the bar.  Heard the first two goals while I was walking, saw the third on my phone. Absolutely brilliant. Makes up for the shitshow of hockey game I’m on my way to watch.

I’m hope I’m not being too optimistic, but I’m not looking at the bottom of the table anymore. It just doesn’t seem relevant

Just got back to the car. I'm sure Ipswich blanked out mobile internet in the stadium to stop word getting out of their demise, couldn't do anyrhing from just before kick off.

    Initial thoughts:

    That was unexpected.

    That was bootiful.

Sonny Carey PoTY so far, daylight second. What a player, what a goal.

A striker scored! Praise the Lord!

    Onwards and upwards.

Genuinely unbelievable. That's two really incredible away wins now, here and Sheff Utd that I don't think many of us would have had on the bingo card at the start of the season. We probably should have taken the 3 points at Derby as well. If we can keep on like this being incredibly hard to beat at home and nicking insane results away from home we won't have to worry about relegation for long
  • We dont even usually put in that display away from home... All these away games on the trot, its our Home form that could elevate us into true Play-Off contention, its the away form that I've felt could drag us down.

But playing like THAT... Who knows what could happen

    Beautiful. Just beautiful.
    Boootiful….
  • It was like going back 45 years and watching Brian Clough's Nottm Forest grinding out yet another win in the European Cup.

There's no better compliment I can pay than that.

In Charlton terms, I reckon that's our best performance since beating Chelsea 4-2 one boxing day about 20 years ago.

I would have been over the moon with a full 0-0 tonight! I don’t know how to react to that?!

Most impressive win in at least the last ten years of supporting Charlton.

Wow. Nathan Jones got his team and substitutes SPOT ON tonight.

    Errr...
  • What the actual…and I cannot stress this enough…fuck?!

That second half was peak Nathan Jones. Absolutely drowned them out, ground them down, then punched them right in the dick (three times). Perfect.

That's definitely the highest set of player marks I've ever given. It isn't even hyperbole either. They weren't just all great, the starting forwards were great and everyone else was amazing
  • Absolutely superb.

Rode our luck a bit in the first half but we did defend well against their waves of attacks. Olaofe and Kelman looked good upfront and the former should have had a goal when he got 1 on 1 with the keeper.

Second half we were different gravy. Carey was everywhere and thoroughly deserved his goal from a driving run and great finish. Kelman continues to look more comfortable and he was very involved today, linking up play well and being a pain in the net for their defenders. He just needs a goal, which I don't think is far off.

Coventry and Docherty worked tirelessly in the middle and all of our defenders put their bodies on the line to repel attack after attack. Special shout out to Ramsay, who was outstanding.

TC and Leaburn came on and were immediately involved. TC was so good as a sub he may have done himself out of a starting place lol. As well as the assist for Leaburn, he ran at their defence and terrorised them and put in some good crosses. So happy for Leaburn to get a goal, which may or may not have come from a ball out of play. It will do him the world of good.

I secretly hoped for a smash and grab win but never saw this in a million years. It could have finished 5-0. On to Hull with confidence.
All spot on. Saves me having to post!

Awesome subs and there were waves of attacks from us in the last 15.

NJ loves defence first, but tonight illustrated that attack can be thr best form of defence.
