Sublime! He hit a better one on Takayasu this year or last year. Surely a front runner for the fan favourite Rikishi?

Some of the images from their time in London are absolutely brilliant!

Terrific climax to tonight’s schedule, with the 5 unbeaten Rikishi fighting in the final 3 bouts:
Kirishima (2-1) v Tobizaru (3-0)
Onosato (3-0) v Aonishiki (3-0)
Hoshoryu (3-0) v Takayasu (3-0)
Should be a belter.1 -
So the fucking BBC bump it from Freeview/Freesat for Strictly, even though Strictly’s on BBC1.
iPlayer it is.0 -
Ura!!!!!Fucking brilliant.0

Again! Never seen a duck and lift before!1

TOBIZARU!!!!
he da man0 -
The Yokozuna will surely go head to head tomorrow.
if Tobizaru’s matched against Takayasu he has a chance to force a play off by using his speed but if they put him against Aonishiki he’ll definitely get beaten.0 -
I think they want the Yokozuna match to be the decider. So Tobizaru v Aonishiki with a play off if he overcomes the Ukrainian.0

So, the last 4 bouts today are:
Ura v Aonishiki
Takayasu v Tobizaru
Wakatakakage v Kirishima
Onosato v Hoshoryu
A play off if Tobizaru wins and he’s got a chance - Takayasu can be vulnerable to someone with speed and mobility getting behind him.
Might be a foregone conclusion in terms of a Yokozuna victory but a play off would be great.1 -
More malarkey from the Flying Monkey

Wow.
Ura just got Ura’d.
Brilliant from Aonishiki.1 -
Congratulations to Hoshoryu. The London Basho was a great success in my view. Appreciative crowds and a real connection with the Rikishi and all those involved.
Great stuff.

Do they drink during Bashous in Japan?
Kinbozan literally walked out today...
Aonishiki hit what may be the best throw I've ever seen!0 -

Daiesho, Abi, Wakamotoharu & Takanosho

New Banzuke is out, Aonishiki is up to Sekiwake and surely favourite to join Kotozakura soon. Takanosho is back to Komusubi for the first time in years and Wakatakakage drops to the rank and filers! Takerufuji drops to Juryo due to injuries, again.

Interesting start to the Kyushu Basho.
Aonishiki lucky to get the verdict v Hakuoho on day 3.
Kotozakura’s good start evaporates quickly and Hoshoryu recovers well after dispensing a day 1 kimboshi to Hakuoho.
Onosato unbeaten this far, Wakatakage winless.
Just 4 co-leaders after day 3: Onosato, Aonishiki, and the feisty lightweights Asakoryu and Fujinokawa.
Who can topple the #1 Yokozuna?0 -
Fujinokawa’s sizzlin’0

That should have been a rematch IMO.PeanutsMolloy said:Interesting start to the Kyushu Basho.

The NHK app shows the highlights the same day now, but they've disabled the ability to cast it to a television! 😫
Surprised by Watakatage on day 5! Rare to only have 2 unbeaten at this stage1 -

Sensational Day 10.
The best 3 Rikishi each has it in his own hands. Should be a belter of a climax.
Hoping that Wakatakakage can complete his fightback to grab his Kachi-Koshi and regain Sanyaku.0 -
Superb showing from Yoshinofuji. Steamrolling his opponent who seemed to be heading to perfection.
Aonishiki needs two wins to gain Ozeki status (day 11 excluded) out of the next five with both Yokozuna's still outstanding.1 -
Day 11…….Holy Cow!!!!1
