Sublime! He hit a better one on Takayasu this year or last year. Surely a front runner for the fan favourite Rikishi?

Some of the images from their time in London are absolutely brilliant!

Terrific climax to tonight’s schedule, with the 5 unbeaten Rikishi fighting in the final 3 bouts:
    Kirishima (2-1) v Tobizaru (3-0)
    Onosato (3-0) v Aonishiki (3-0)
    Hoshoryu (3-0) v Takayasu (3-0)
    Should be a belter.

So the fucking BBC bump it from Freeview/Freesat for Strictly, even though Strictly’s on BBC1.

The Yokozuna will surely go head to head tomorrow.
if Tobizaru’s matched against Takayasu he has a chance to force a play off by using his speed but if they put him against Aonishiki he’ll definitely get beaten.

I think they want the Yokozuna match to be the decider. So Tobizaru v Aonishiki with a play off if he overcomes the Ukrainian.

So, the last 4 bouts today are:
    Ura v Aonishiki
    Takayasu v Tobizaru
    Wakatakakage v Kirishima
    Onosato v Hoshoryu

A play off if Tobizaru wins and he’s got a chance - Takayasu can be vulnerable to someone with speed and mobility getting behind him.
Might be a foregone conclusion in terms of a Yokozuna victory but a play off would be great.

    Congratulations to Hoshoryu.

The London Basho was a great success in my view. Appreciative crowds and a real connection with the Rikishi and all those involved.
    Great stuff.

Do they drink during Bashous in Japan?

    Kinbozan literally walked out today...

Aonishiki hit what may be the best throw I've ever seen!

New Banzuke is out, Aonishiki is up to Sekiwake and surely favourite to join Kotozakura soon. Takanosho is back to Komusubi for the first time in years and Wakatakakage drops to the rank and filers! Takerufuji drops to Juryo due to injuries, again.
