  • I was disappointed how their defender had so much space to take his jump unchallenged. We cannot afford more of that and Kaminski should have got closer to a far post header.
Ive watched their goal back, is it me or does Kaminski seem to pull his arms back towards his body rather than extending towards the ball? It just looks like a weird motion🤷‍♂️
  • Can't blame Kaminski for that. Headers are very hard for keepers because they have no setting time. You have to hope they are headed near you but that was headed in the bottom corner.
  • Would have kept Kelman on and taken TC off initially. Felt Kelman was growing into the game and offered more.

Its a good point and any point on the road is good. The Derby guys header was a good goal, didnt have to put power on it, just enough to nestle in the corner.

Be happy with a draw at Preston but we will see!

Thought Ramsay had a shocker personally. Some of his decisions made him look like like a novice.
  • Also surprised to see negative comments about Agyemang, thought he looked a real handful and a player who could live up to his price tag. Thought we struggled physically for a change.

Matt Clarke as well, what a player, best centre back we have come up against so far this season, you can see why Brighton took a plunge those years back.

Not much to say for our boys, thought we looked tired, hopefully we look a bit more lively for Preston.
There is an edge to the Derby fans which I don't think helps the team. They are peed off but they have to back their players and manager more, not be so ready to jump down their throats.
  • It must be easier for bald players to head the ball, as they have a bigger forehead to attack it with  ;)

Like our fans with NJ early last season 😀

You can see that Kelman is getting up to match speed after not having a pre season .. he was excellent on Tuesday , two good efforts on goal the take down … and the lovely ball across the face of an open goal where somehow Campbell slipped over .. the chances we had at the end are the chances that Kelman was brought for

Yet he doesn’t seem to ever get in those positions

Bit difficult if he's not on the pitch
  • When Kelman clicks, he'll probably do it in style with a perfect hat trick...hopefully Saturday...🙌🙌

Lloyd Jones and James Bree in the team of midweek.

    https://efl.com/news/2025/october/02/five-of-whoscored-s-top-midweek-performers-in-the-sky-bet-championship/

    Lloyd Jones – 8.2 – Charlton Athletic

Jones anchored Charlton’s defence in a 1-1 draw at Pride Park, helping them extend their unbeaten league run to four games. The centre-back won 9 aerial duels, made 3 tackles, 4 interceptions, and 13 clearances, keeping Derby’s sustained pressure at bay. His composure against Derby’s physical attack and his leadership was vital in securing the point and maintaining Charlton’s strong defensive record.

  • I just feel like Lloyd Jones should be in the team of the week by default, unless someone else does something truly spectacular
