Basically feel that Olaofe and Leaburn need to do a lot more if they want to start matches, was disappointed with them tonight. Would add Knibbs to that as well
Both have had fewer minutes than Campbell / Kelman, but neither put in the work rate that either starter put in... Yes we lost Carey at the same time, he needs a rest too...
But the absence of the pressure changed the game, first half and the Derby defence were rushing their attacks, because of the running from Campbell, Kelman and Carey, meaning that a lot of balls were ending up at the feet of our own players.
Second half, and that changed the moment Kelman went off, and Campbell was knackered - Neither Tanto or Miles did the same sort of running, which gave Derby more time to build their attacks.
Also Knibbs not as all action as Carey.
He made some good tackles when he come on. So hard to stamp your authority on the game in that position off the bench. He’s one player we need to be patient with.
I think ramsay’s confidence is shattered after that red card which is a shame hope he regains it
I don’t know about that, I just think he isn’t that effective in the final third. Dont get me wrong, he’s a terrific defender, and he made some good challenges tonight, but his crossing, or even his general effectiveness further up the field is not a patch on Bree, Edwards, or even Bell. It’s clear that Burke will always stay as RCB even when we change shape, so it falls, by default, to Ramsay to be the stand-in wingback. My hope is that he uses this situation to work on his effectiveness going forward, because if he can develop an understanding with the forwards, an eye for a defence splitting pass and can work on his crossing, he could end up being an incredible player.
Looked tired second half. Didn’t lose which is key. 6 points above the drop and generally look comfortable in the league. Just keep putting points on the board and we will be alright
We sat back just as Derby entered overdrive. The game switched in a few minutes and there was sustained pressure from nothing. That said, after their goal, they were well on top, yet were playing it around their back line, hence their fans getting very frustrated and could have heard expressing their displeasure. After the late onslaught, I'd say a fantastic point, as we looked beat after their goal went in. To last another 18 minutes is testiment to our fight. Lots of players on times for the last 15. Not like our team of late, but overall, Derby is always a tough game and rarely come away with much, so a good away point. They battled hard second half as did we. Result: Fair.
Decent first half, felt we were too deep and sloppy in possession second half. Derby deserved a point and kept at us. Can’t complain about much these first 8 games. Outside of the first 30 minutes at QPR and that second half tonight, we’ve been on it.
Expectations perhaps raised a bit after Saturday, but if we can get something on Saturday, I’ll be very happy with the way we’ve adapted to this league.
As well as Bell did on the left and Gillesphey coming in for him at LCB, Edwards was missed tonight.
I completely agree with his interview and while I may have liked us to not invite as much pressure, the fact is he got us to the position in the first place. We didn't lose and weirdly I felt we were more likely to nick it against the run of play than they were to score despite there more constant pressure.

That is why Tanto and Miles are not starting. They don't/cannot press in the same way as Kelman and TC. Thankfully NJ knows that, unlike lots on here who keep saying TC and Kelman should not start.
Always disappointing to relinquish a lead but a point on the road is very good in this division. A big positive was Kelman tonight. Looked very sharp and a shame he wasn't given a bit longer out there. That first goal is not far away
Thought it was a quality showing by us. They gave absolutely everything. Couldn’t be happier with how it’s going. Back in the Championship and more than holding our own. COYRs
NJ will have been disappointed in the goal we conceded, as with the changes made, we had a tall side on the pitch by that stage.
As I said on the match thread, it's hard for Cov and Doc to keep playing 90s game after game. Both were excellent, but you could see them losing control of the midfield in the second half. Knibbs was clearly brought on to give extra physical presence, but was a dropoff from Carey in terms of attacking threat and movement, and was way less effective in the press. Maybe Anderson would have been a more effective sub, playing the advanced pressing role he was utilised in a bit last season?
NJ doesn't seem to rate Rankin-Costello, who was seemingly signed as a midfielder, but who has barely played.
Derby are a decent team. We scored a great goal. If Brazil had scored it they would be replaying it for years. I think we can't complain but that Knibbs chance hurts a bit. We went in one nil up and we know we can defend so maybe that encouraged us to sit a bit too deep but hey ho. An away point is good,
The only thing I would say .. is NJ subs are predictable today perhaps Apter might have been better for the breakaway ??? even Berry let’s change it up a bit give the other team a headache
Probably a fair result in the end. Could see us losing once they equalised & we really only had one chance after that. And why Ramsay didn't put his foot through it I'll never know.
Oloafe should play a bigger part & maybe should start instead of TC. We dont have enough strength up front with Kelman & TC.....just look at Morris & the bloke they brought on at the end. Big powerful strikers who can shield the ball & bring others into it.
A 3-0 win and we'd be 2nd. Early days but happy with 8th.
And yet with those two big strikers, they’ve yet to win a game.
The goal we got was started thanks to the guile of those two.
We all want to see more but if we go with strength from the start, they are fighting against fresh defenders and we will just resort to hoofball too quickly.

Tanto two assists on Saturday was down to him pressing ?

Maybe it was a game that needed Anderson in there with his energy instead of Knibbs - But then that would have been a very defensive change.
Six draws in eight fixtures in the Championship this evening. I don’t think they’ll be three or four teams pulling away from the rest and nor do I think they’ll be three or four teams cut adrift. Makes our home form really key, and away points like this will make a difference at the end of the season.

Felt that Derby's size was going to be the one thing that saw them back into it, but felt we needed a second goal for the comfort.

Any point away is a decent one.
Great goal scored, poor goal conceded.
Scrappy sort of game but we didn't lose, so good going.
