To be fair, Ali Maxwell has been on high on us for a while, had us at 13th, George less so, as he thinks we'll finish 19th.fenaddick said:This is from the NTT20 weekly roundup of the weekend, people are starting to take notice
The Addicks could even afford Reece Burke to miss a sitter at 1-0. After early substitute Macauley Gillesphey had scored within a few minutes of coming on, second-half substitute Tanto Olaofe had a big hand in the other two goals, finished by Sonny Carey – a sweet strike – and James Bree. This combination of physicality, fluidity and fearlessness could take Charlton far. It’s already taken them to 7th.3 -
You're right but this was written by neither of them! And we were the leading item, although that's more because Blackburn had a shocking weekRothko said:

Just back from a weekend away - Watched the highlights and looked like we stormed it. Love it.

Obviously opposition teams notice that Lloyd Jones normally gets his head to our corners and free kicks, which is why he had three opponents marking him for our first goal1

Points dropped — Derby (8) have lost more the most points from winning positions in the Championship, with Norwich and Wrexham just behind them on 7.

As a slight aside - Lloyd Jones has probably had 5 or 6 efforts on goal - all saved, some really good saves. Am I right?6

9 shots this season, 8 headers. 5 of the shots on target and a total xG of 0.75. He'll score soon enoughsirjohnhumphrey said:As a slight aside - Lloyd Jones has probably had 5 or 6 efforts on goal - all saved, some really good saves. Am I right?9 -
Gillesphey coming on in the 1st half caught out the coaches and analysts of Blackburn and where Lloyd is always marked well despite getting some contact at most set pieces this set piece went to the back post where our goal scoring CB Macca with the big head did a supreme header.ross1 said:Obviously opposition teams notice that Lloyd Jones normally gets his head to our corners and free kicks, which is why he had three opponents marking him for our first goal
So pleased for the big man.10 -

Grenada is a wonderful country. Enjoy your time there. If you get a chance to explore any of the smaller islands of the Grenadines I would highly recommend. The entire stretch between Grenada and St Vincent is incredible. Mayreaux is my favourite place on earth. Perfect barely touched paradise. I volunteered at a coral restoration project that did a lot there. Carriacou and Union Island worth visiting, if you're minted then ive heard Canoun is amazing but its all private resort. Any time spent in any of those islands would be well worth it.Killarahales said:Jints said:In seville having missed my first home game for quite a while but really enjoying reading these comments.Ditto, except I’m in Granada. Ali Maxwell and guest host Jed Wallace (through gritted teeth) very complimentary about us this season on this week's NTT20 weekend recap pod

I keep watching the Carey goal back. It's unbelievable tekkers to hit the ball that hard with no backlift. If the stand wasn't in the way, the ball would have skipped across the channel to France.

Nice to hear Jed Wallace say Tanto is one of the best people in football and he's glad to see how well he's playing. Interesting they both say Tanto is one of the best at what he does in the league.5

Interesting to see the clubs who were with us in the playoffs not doing very well apart from Stockport. I wonder if we would have struggled like them if we had not got promoted0

Orient's success was built on sand... too many loan players, and then they lost Galbraith. And Wycombe lost their top scorer. We lost Small...important, but not vital.ross1 said:Interesting to see the clubs who were with us in the playoffs not doing very well apart from Stockport. Of course, if we'd NOT gone up, who knows who we might have lost. But we didn't..

Wycombe weren't the same after losing Bloomfield in January. I suspect they'll be more competitive now they've sacked the hopeless Dodds.SteveACS said:

It's impossible to build long term in L1 as a smaller club, as if you don't go up, you'll lose most of your best players. Bigger L1 clubs have a better chance of keeping players, as they can at least pay higher wages. Barnsley keeping Keillor-Dunn for example.1 -
We gave clubs a 6 month head start and still got promoted. I reckon we would have easily won the league and finished on 100 points if we had kept NJross1 said:Interesting to see the clubs who were with us in the playoffs not doing very well apart from Stockport.
