This is from the NTT20 weekly roundup of the weekend, people are starting to take notice

The Addicks could even afford Reece Burke to miss a sitter at 1-0. After early substitute Macauley Gillesphey had scored within a few minutes of coming on, second-half substitute Tanto Olaofe had a big hand in the other two goals, finished by Sonny Carey – a sweet strike – and James Bree. This combination of physicality, fluidity and fearlessness could take Charlton far. It’s already taken them to 7th.
To be fair, Ali Maxwell has been on high on us for a while, had us at 13th, George less so, as he thinks we'll finish 19th.

You're right but this was written by neither of them! And we were the leading item, although that's more because Blackburn had a shocking week
  • Just back from a weekend away - Watched the highlights and looked like we stormed it. Love it.

  • Obviously opposition teams notice that Lloyd Jones normally gets his head to our corners and free kicks, which is why he had three opponents marking him for our first goal

Gillesphey coming on in the 1st half caught out the coaches and analysts of Blackburn and where Lloyd is always marked well despite getting some contact at most set pieces this set piece went to the back post where our goal scoring CB Macca with the big head did a supreme header.
So pleased for the big man.
Some on here thought he might be moving on in the new year.
    He isn't going anywhere.

In seville having missed my first home game for quite a while but really enjoying reading these comments.
Ditto, except I’m in Granada. Great to see all the happy comments after visiting the Alhambra!

Grenada is a wonderful country. Enjoy your time there. If you get a chance to explore any of the smaller islands of the Grenadines I would highly recommend. The entire stretch between Grenada and St Vincent is incredible. Mayreaux is my favourite place on earth. Perfect barely touched  paradise. I volunteered at a coral restoration project that did a lot there. Carriacou and Union Island worth visiting, if you're minted then ive heard Canoun is amazing but its all private resort. Any time spent in any of those islands would be well worth it.
Got to be this season's most irrelevant post.

    In fairness to me ...
I try not to be fair in my posts.

I'd take either at this stage!
  • I keep watching the Carey goal back. It's unbelievable tekkers to hit the ball that hard with no backlift. If the stand wasn't in the way, the ball would have skipped across the channel to France.

Ali Maxwell and guest host Jed Wallace (through gritted teeth) very complimentary about us this season on this week's NTT20 weekend recap pod

lovely words about Tanto - 'one of the nicest lads in football'
  • Nice to hear Jed Wallace say Tanto is one of the best people in football and he's glad to see how well he's playing. Interesting they both say Tanto is one of the best at what he does in the league.
