My vlog is also up, it is lacking in interviews and the before game atmosphere, but showing up to the Valley 10 mins before kick off roughly, I got what I could.
For those that like watching the action on the pitch, it's quite a good watch tbf, and really demonstrates how dominant we looked at times.
I am nearing 250 shy of 2k subs as well, so if there is anyone who hasn't subbed and enjoys the videos I would massively appreciate the subs, aiming for 2k by the end of the season and a 100% season, haven't missed a game yet and hoping to vlog all 46 as long as I don't get ill again
Best vlog yet mate, as Bree crosses for the first goal "I like it I like it". Great quality visuals and seem to have sorted your sound issues, just need to sort the hillbilly hair 👍

Perfect vlog that. I hit play with the sole intention of working out where you were between 2.55 when I saw you pass the Valley Cafe to be 12 minutes late to the match. Making content of course!
I have subscribed. Great stuff.
(so pleased for Denzel too as that first 20 mins could have put anyone off coming back if we'd not gone on to play as well as we did)
I couldn’t believe how frequently (and easily) we took the ball off Blackburn yesterday.
The most ridiculous one was Tanto near the corner flag with two defenders doubling up on him and he still came away with the ball! Amazing!
Every time they tried getting it up the field Docherty, Coventry, Bree and on some occasions even Tanto would just charge right on them and win the ball back, it was so impressive to watch
Bumped into Curtis Fleming in The Pelton Arms after the game. He is apparently a big Smiths fan and was there to watch a tribute band (who were surprisingly excellent). He couldn't have been nicer. Says he thinks Rob Apter has probably been our best player this season and is so unlucky to be out of the team, but James Bree has been outstanding (and in training as well). Also says he rates Lloyd Jones as one of the top CBs in the division. Got the sense he is the good cop to NJ's bad cop - the one putting his arm around players and telling them how good they are when they need to hear it.
He also said the referee was appalling, and he told him at half-time that he was letting the young players down.
And he confirmed that Nathan Jones does live in Greenwich and rides a Lime Bike.
We were a little worse for wear, so hope we didn't annoy him too much! But he is a top bloke.
could be just my guess, I am convinced the our radical improvement after Christmas 2024 was in part due to Fleming having a bigger say in the teams management and organisation. No proof of course, just a hunch as he became a lot more active and vocal on the side-lines during games around that time.
What a difference having a stronger squad makes. All five of our subs were excellent and game-changers. I am even not quite so worried about losing Lloyd Jones for a game or two now.
I like Edwards but always feel that he's playing at the very limit of his ability - the injury, as with Ramsey's sending off has certainly shown that we have options all over the team - Bree and Burke add a stature and a bit of know how going forwards down that flank as did Bell down the other - with Gillesphey on fire and pinging accurate and different passes, we were suddenly a lot less obvious and one dimensional as to how we were moving up the pitch - a lot more variety and we create so many more chances - there were a lot of really good performances but i';ll give motm to Carey - that goal showed a bit of real star quality just when we needed it to get what we deserved from the game - this team are just getting better and better and we really haven't played anybody better than us yet - i wouldn't rule anything out as to what we can achieve this year.
Disagree with the Edwards take. Very consistent puts in a 7 out of 10 every week and at only 25 with the right tutoring plenty of time to improve, seems like a top lad.
I have noticed that most games this season that Edwards seems to put so much into every performance that he usually picks up a small niggling injury which he seems to be able to run off most times. If you looked up committed in the dictionary, there would be a picture of Edwards grinning back at you.
I can just see him in that dictionary picture just behind John Robinson
Can i be the first to say that 1) We always moan about the ref 2) I didnt think he was that bad tbh.
It is the Inconsistency that is so irritating. For example, he had us move the ball a foot to the left before taking a FK, and then let them take a quick free kick nowhere near where the offence was committed later in the game. A blatant push on a player was ignored and a later one punished with a FK AND a yellow. This seems to be part of a new two tier system where a foul is more serious depending on where it takes place.
Jones yellow was for persistent foul play and was justified IMO.
He got a lot right, I just think this “letting the game flow” is bollocks. If it is a foul you either consider play on or give the foul.
That was about as good a second half as I can remember since the pre Duchatalet days. A team we can all be proud of and an atmnosphere to match. And looking at the bench before the start I felt it was strong rather than, as so many times in the last two decades, thinking that we are an injury away from being in deep mire
Games are won in midfield and Doc and Coventry were immense
Agree about Connor and Greg but Games are won and lost in both boxes unless you get a belter from Sonny Carey outside ! Against Leicester we played some good football but couldn't score and against Millwall we were the better side until Ramsay's brain freeze cost Cafc 2 points.
We won many games last season without dominating in midfield but there feels a Paradigm shift with Coventry and Docherty linking play and stepping up in the Championship over the last few games. Other than away at QPR where the home team deserved their win after we made one mistake too many we are looking so much stronger this season with a better squad.
18 clean sheet by CAFC is the best in '25' in the top 4 leagues with 4 coming from 7 in the 2nd tier.

Thank you mate, I wasn't sure about it as I literally got there at 2:50ish (The Valley) but luckily the game was good so it turned out ok.
As for the hair, I have already applied to be a truck driver, too late

What delayed your arrival?
Wasn't cause of the Norwich commute 😂
Stayed in Ashford but underestimated the traffic and then it was fairly rammo, gonna make sure I am at Derby and Preston nice and early

Thank you, really appreciate it.
I did say to him don't get used to it mate as we don't always play that bloody well 😂
I watched our U18s beat Colchester United 6-0 in the morning. Then had a Millwall fan (in a Barcelona shirt) threatening to beat me up on the bus for supporting Charlton. Of course, he was all mouth and this quickly changed to bragging about how they were above us in the league. Well, they aren't any more.
Seeing nine Charlton goals in a day is certainly a first and it should have been double figures.
Charlton 9 Apoel Nicosia 0 ....................Only us old gits will remember
I'm sure I've still got the programme for that game.
In seville having missed my first home game for quite a while but really enjoying reading these comments.
Ditto, except I’m in Granada. Great to see all the happy comments after visiting the Alhambra!
Grenada is a wonderful country. Enjoy your time there. If you get a chance to explore any of the smaller islands of the Grenadines I would highly recommend. The entire stretch between Grenada and St Vincent is incredible. Mayreaux is my favourite place on earth. Perfect barely touched paradise. I volunteered at a coral restoration project that did a lot there. Carriacou and Union Island worth visiting, if you're minted then ive heard Canoun is amazing but its all private resort. Any time spent in any of those islands would be well worth it.
Looking forward to seeing the post match interview from the Blackburn manager and the excuses regarding how they were robbed, bound to be some, truth is they got off very lightly at 3-0 and the scoreline flattered them greatly. First 20 minutes were touch and go for both teams, with them slightly on top it must be said, with the unfortunate injury to Edwards resulting in his substitution with Macca, came a renewed strength and resolve, and it was not a surprise when Macca headed home a brilliant goal at the far post, a header made to look regulation but was everything but. So 1-0 half time, second half arrived with a burst of aggression on our part, and we should have increased our lead by at least a couple of goals long before Careys exocet from 20 yards out after a nice assist from Tanto that left the keeper grasping in thin air, and the third was another nice finish from Bree, a man quickly cementing a place Ramsay will have to fight for. So 7th spot it is and we go again Tuesday up at Pride Park where Derby County are our hosts going for a hat trick of wins, and who's to say we wont get that result...COYR
Nope, the excuse from the Blackburn manager was about how the “stonewall penalty” was denied at the end of the first half..
First half? Can't remember that. Thought he was moaning about the shout for one in the second half.
Well whatever it was, he can't moan about the ref who did his best to help them throughout the match...
I think it was more that the ref was generally useless rather than biased.

Anyone who wants to call Miles lazy or say he doesn't care, look at the bit around 7m - 7m15s in that video.

Noticed that too, he also seems to be winning more headers. To be fair, the whole squad is putting a shift in when on the pitch. You won't be playing for Jones otherwise. I think he is in the process of building something special here.
I've just spent 6 days hiking to Santiago along the Santiago de Compostela. Clearly someone upstairs has decided to reward me in this way
@killerandflash, my wife and I are just over halfway to Santiago and get to Leon tomorrow. Watched the game on CharltonTV - great result. How far are you going on the Frances?

A much shorter walk than you! I just did Samos to Santiago, about 128km and am now on the Thameslink from Gatwick.

Got to be this season's most irrelevant post.
He's not wrong. Grenada is an absolutely wonderful place.
