Shame that petered out out front.
  • Great to see Williams back on the podium.

Pirelli need to sort their shit out
  • Well, that didn’t live up to the hype of qualifying after the 1st lap..

Hot take, unless people stuff it into the walls, Baku is awful. The 90 degree corners aren't wide enough for most passing opportunities, and castle section and then the subsequent up the hill and back down again string them out, then it's just a yawn fest 28 seconds on full pelt down to the first corner again.  And as ever the DRS isn't strong enough to create overtakes, or they change it and it's so strong you pass someone 200m before the braking zone.
  • Brilliant second race in FRECA!! - Slater really taking it to de Palo with P1 / P2 now level on points, P3 / P4 also level on points in that Championship

Shame Freddie took a bit too much of a risk on the last lap, but great racing!!

I think I am sensing Hamilton is getting to grips with the car. His qualifying was compromised because his team mate went off when he was on a hot lap with soft tyres. The problem is that the Ferrari is not there yet.

Maybe but they still finished 8th / 9th yesterday, seem to look good in practice and then fall away. It's obvious he isn't at the level he was 5 years ago, probably a mix of age and loss of confidence in qualifying especially during this era of regs

Will probably come together just for Ferrari to then completely make a Horlicks of the new regs.

As a Williams fan, great to see them finally get a pole. Not a great race though

With the Mclarens stuffing up quali, Max on pole and two, shall we say less competitive cars, between him and anyone who might have kept up with him, it was never going to be a classic.

Unlike Piastri whose brain was in gear too quickly!

Are they staying as Alpine? Mercedes engines, 25% ownership is a bunch of celebrities and athletes, I wouldn't be surprised if Renault pull out soon and they become a completely different team.

Dunne and Lindblad would be absolute carnage as a lineup. First year of new cars and they'd be writing bits off left right and centre. One of the 2 and Lawson would be my guess.

Says a lot again about what Marko thinks of the likes of Tramnitz,Marti and Goethe if they're having to go outside the academy again. McLaughlin and Deligny look like the next hopes for them but they're 3-5 years off.

Deligny isn't currently part of the Red Bull programme mate - Although he's admitted that ties haven't been completely severed so might see him returning in the future. It'll be Colnaghi and Rivera stepping up to F3 next season who will next be in line as Red Bull juniors.

Sounds like Dunne to the Red Bull Junior Team has legs, but he'll stick to F2 for 2026

Wonder if he'll join Tsolov at Campos then

Anyone else think Max has a chance of "completing" the calender? Singapore is the only circuit he hasn't won at of the current circuits

Red Bull seem to have come into their own at the higher speed circuits, so Mclaren probably favorites again this weekend as Singapore is a bit Monaco at night. You can't really rule anything out with Max though. Much as I dislike his on-track persona, his ability to drag every last 10th of a second out of a car is unmatched.

Wasn't it Tsolov that put Alex in the wall in Melbourne last season and should have been DQed? That could be a spicy lineup.

Toto looked so funny on Camera when pole got confirmed - Had the look of a man thinking: "Aww shit, more power to George over the Contract negotiations"
