Kaheim Dixon - on a season long loan to Crawley (p25)

I'm not surprised by that at all. The obvious thing for a manager taking on Dixon would be to put him on the wing and make the most of his pace there. We would want him to play more centrally though, he's most likely to fit into our team in the TC role, and him learning how to play more centrally to augment his natural skill as a wide player is the best development for him as far as we're concerned. It implies that we really do see a route for him into the first teamRC_CAFC said:Just listened to the Scott Lindsey post match and he was full of praise for Kaheim, but interestingly said that Jones text him a few weeks back saying that he thought Dixon was perfect for Crawley and for Lindsey to train and coach him. Shows that we really considered where Dixon should go next in his development.6 -
I imagine things may have worked out a lot better for Ben Garner at the Valley had he been able to take Lindsay with him.4

Comment from Crawley forum - "Dixon however was a revelation, always running and beating players and putting in great crosses. Also got back to defend at times. Just needs to inprove shooting slightly but that will improve with tiem. My MOM over Adeyemo"8

Im sure we do see that route, we would be mad not too imo. You can coach positional stuff but you cant coach natural ability and raw pace and the lad obviously has bothGarrymanilow said:

Only saw most of first half, Crawley struggled so he didn't get much service but looked useful when he did. Not much to go on0

Probably similar to when he texted the Stevenage gaffer!RC_CAFC said:Just listened to the Scott Lindsey post match and he was full of praise for Kaheim, but interestingly said that Jones text him a few weeks back saying that he thought Dixon was perfect for Crawley and for Lindsey to train and coach him. Parker was never going to make it till he went to Norwich, Grant was never good enough till he went to Crawley. Let's face it we all know sod all but it's fun to speculate and sometimes proved wrong.Todds_right_hook said:Have people really seen enough of him to say he won’t make it with us?
scored for fun at u-21 level and had a good L2 debut. He has talent, hopefully he will
mature during his loan and come back next summer as a valuable part of our squad5 -
Included in the Jamaica “Road to 2026 Watchlist” along with Bell, Anderson and TC

I guess as a smaller nation they are bit more limited in top talent but that was dish a weird list to announce. Does it close the door to other players? Imagine England putting a list out like that nowfenaddick said:Included in the Jamaica “Road to 2026 Watchlist” along with Bell, Anderson and TC

England do have a list like that, just not a public one. The players on it know they’re on the list thoughAberystwythAddick said:

Kid certainly loves to make an unconventional little pass

I am NOT commenting on his ability/readiness for our own first team HOWEVER that kind of innovation and inventiveness is definitely the kind of thing that would probably improve our current style.fenaddick said:Kid certainly loves to make an unconventional little pass

Not even something that happens every time but if a team is being put through the Jones press and then suddenly someone pulls out a crafty little dinked pass it could be very useful.
Again this is not me saying Dixon could/should be a first team player but more that those who are could probably do with just a smidgen more invention instead of pure effort/numbers style.

Nice match report on Substack with a review of each players performance
Kaheim Dixon - Looked lively. The fans love Kaheim, so sometimes it’s a lift just to have him on the ball when we play at home. It was his little chipped cross that brought the second goal too. It’s clear he’s still young and has a lot of learning and growing to do, but it’s nice to have him as an option - he will only get better (I hope).

Im sure its him in the highlights doing a long ball through pass, looked great. Tc had a shot in the hughlights as well. Not much on anderson. Lembikisa looked lively (in the hlights)fenaddick said:Kid certainly loves to make an unconventional little pass

Scored against Villa U21s in the Pizza Paint Trophy14

And an assist. Would imagine he will be back in the starting eleven this weekend. Probably only left out after being away with JamaicaCallumcafc said:Scored against Villa U21s in the Pizza Paint Trophy7 -
He came on after an hour when it was 0-0 and it was quite promptly 2-0 after he did. He’s definitely back in at the weekend.NabySarr said:

You read the match run through and half the Crawley attempts either say Shot by Dixon or assist by Dixon6

Can he play for another club in January if this keeps going well ? This has probably been addressed already - apologies if so0
-
He can because he hasn’t played for us yet this season, you can play for 2 clubs maximum.wmcf123 said:Can he play for another club in January if this keeps going well ? Have this season at Crawley, and then judge in the summer whether he’s ready for us or if a league 1 loan is the next step (hoping we are still championship!)11 -

He played the full 90 minutes, scoring after 19 minutes to make it 1-0 and assisting on 58 minutes to make it 3-2.
Oh, I guess you were referring to their league game on Saturday.1 -
The way NJ and Scott Lindsay both talked about how they put the deal together there's no way we'll be recalling him in January. The best thing for Kaheim is to be playing every week at that levelNabySarr said:

I mean he's been there a month, and a couple of those games were disrupted by him being away for Jamaica and signing for them the day before. Give him another few weeks before we decide if he's dominating or notNabySarr said:

Good goal, seeing the keeper off his line and bending it past him!Assist a bit lucky, hitting a very deep cross but they all count1
