I read on X, that in the time that Wilder was sacked and then reinstated, Aston Villa haven't scored a Premier League goal!

Benfica have sacked Bruno Lage and seem set to appoint Jose Mourinho, meaning he will go back to the first club he managed 25 years ago. Benfica have a trip to Stamford Bridge at the end of the month so lots of nostalgia for the Portugese manager
  • Got sacked at Fenerbahce after losing to Benfica, ironic if he then takes over at Benfica.

5 National league managers have been sacked in the last month.
Derek Adams (Morecambe), Mark Cooper (Yeovil), Adam Hinshelwood (York), Matt Taylor (Solihull Moors) and now Steve Morrison (Sutton United) all sacked, after less than a fifth of the season.
  • No surprise Wrexham hold talks over Phil Parkinson's future as Ryan Reynolds watches third defeat
Weird to think we have lower expectations than Wrexham. They lost 1-3 (to a team we lost to last week), a standard Championship side and a recently relegated side in Southampton. I am then guessing if we lost to the spanner’s Jones head would be called for?

The main difference is Charlton look a decent competitive team. Wrexham don’t look like turning a corner with that shambles of a defence leaking goals constantly despite new signings and a load of money thrown at it.

Surprised he's lasted this long and even more surprised they've sacked him on a Thursday when they didn't have a game during the week.

Looks like he's been a car crash there since going in. Kone barely scored for him and he admitted the other week he doesn't have a Plan B. Whilst we were very good in the 4-0 win at their place, they were also very poor. Be interesting to see who they get in
  • If Bloomfield had stayed at Wycombe,  I'm sure they would have gone up. Instead he's managing Luton in L1!

Said a while back that if he didn't start the season well he'd be gone. Incredible blow up last season cost them promotion and they've since got worse. Losing Kone obviously didn't help though.

Bilic again would be an absolutely bizarre appointment. Just shows how poorly run they are under Sullivan and Brady.

Weird that the NL has become such a turbulent division, full of impatient owners,  all desperate for the golden fleece of er L2.

The current promotion system doesn't help things but it's full now of ex EFL clubs that are absolutely desperate to try and get back, knowing that if it takes multiple seasons it could be disastrous.

I hope that with the increase of the '5th division' going more full time and the desire to get into League 2 does not bring major financial problems for clubs.  I fear the worst for some clubs.
  • How long has Micky  Apples got left?
Chuks came off the bench today but they still lost.

Don't be on high alert if Derby go there and get a 3-0 win then.  Won today (but like you said their leaky defence is playing up again).

National League is highly entertaining if nothing else.

who would have thought Robbie Savage would be top at this stage?

Sadly he lost his only game in charge, and leaves with a 0% win ratio...

Part of it maybe that they do not have the same spending restrictions of the EFL so owners commit more money to get into EFL and are quick to pul the trigger when things do not go well.
