    Bless. 16 years old.

He was born roughly around the time when Sheffield United beat us 5-2 at the valley and pardew got sacked.

If that doesn't make you feel old, I don't know what will.
Remembering when Mars Bars were bigger

Liverpool can count themselves lucky to win this.
Gravenberch very lucky to stay on then scores.

Newcastle get 3 (I think) injuries to players who have to go off, still come back from 2 down with ten men to equalise, and they get some random kid coming on to score the winner in the 234th minute of injury time.

    Gits.
  • Have to say, very bold move from the Liverpool manager putting a 16yr old at that time in that type of game.

Indeed, though Liverpool's attacking options on the bench did look slightly weak.

Newcastle closing in on new No 9 Nick Woltemade, for a club record fee. For such a big fee I was expecting a prolific scorer in Germany, instead this is someone who scored 12 league goals last season, and 2 the previous one.

He was top scorer with 6 in the U21 Euros. Scored in total 23 in 40 appearances last season and had been used previously as a "10". Bayern wanted him as the long term replacement for Kane. 6' 6'' and not exceptionally quick but has very good feet.

  • A 6'6 forward with Elanga and Gordon on the wings is incredibly dangerous, get Wissa in the team too and they've replaced Isak
  • I'm not denying he's got ability, but £70m for potential???

They paid £63m for Isak and will get more than double that for him so, effectively, he will fund Woltemade and Wissa (probably will end up going for about £45m) with some change to boot. Howe doesn't tend to get too many of his purchases wrong (Trippier, Pope, Burn, Guimares, Botman, Gordon, Isak, Tonali, Barnes, Livramento and Hall have all been successes). Time will tell if he's right or not about this one though.

Great deal for Stuttgart seeing as they got him on a free. Was impressed with him in the U21 Euros but agree that 70m seems excessive.

  • Another Grealish assist.

    Good for him.

The door for potential return to England squad may creep open again around Christmas
  • Good to see Josh Cullen scoring again today
  • Fair play to Burnley, United have absolutely battered them for most of the game and theyre hanging in there for a draw

    Great timing mate...
  • When did the Referees get mic'd up to announce their VAR decisions in the Premier League? - I know it was being trialled last season in the League Cup, but didnt realise it had become a "thing"

Good thing fot the crowd but funny when a player has to stand there like a naughty school kid getting told off by the headmaster in front of thousands of people.
  • I wonder when West Ham fans will actually start regretting their decision to demand Moyes' exit?
  • Spursy back to normal.

From the first game this season

  • Solid starts from the 3 newly promoted clubs. Given how bad Wolves and West ham look i think this is the best chance for a while (and maybe the foreseeable future) for a newly promoted club to stay up.

So Forest are reporting Palace to the FA for this

It was said that Crystal Palace face an investigation from the Football Association about this. Does anyone know when this will be or if it’s started yet? Can’t the Forest owner takes them to court for defamation?
  • Banner says he's NOT involved so if he sues for defamation I assume he is involved.
  • Pep must be counting his days. He should walk before its too late.

  • Pep has serious issues to resolve at City. They don't look like they've fixed any of last seasons problems and they were awful in the second half today, with Brighton thoroughly deserving their win. Still baffles me that they haven't moved to sign a top class right back.

Also wonder if that might be Nuno's last game at Forest. Clearly issues between him and Marinakis and that result today could well be the excuse the big bad Greek needs to get rid.
  • Standard in this clash between the supposed two best teams has been utter guff so far
  • Maybe west ham fans might now breathe for 5 minutes and not desperately call for Graham Potters sacking while remaining angry/confused that they are not a bigger club than reality portrays them to be.

They are a premier league mid/ lower mid league table club.

David Moyes will be laughing when his Everton side gives the hammers another reality check.
  • Incredible free kick
  • Honestly didn’t think there was going to be a goal in this match.
  • Stunning free kick. Wow
