  • Liverpool agree fee with Palace for Guehi. Could pave the way for Gomez to leave now.

Good, if anything I hope it screws Palace
  • Liverpool's squad is unbelievable - something will need to go seriously wrong for them not to be crowned champions.

    Hopefully not to Palace

Just said to a couple of Spurs mates that Guehi going Dippers is probably bigger than any signing Spurs could make today if it guarantees the title goes back to Anfield rather than that team at the other end of the Seven Sisters Road.
Proper sad state of affairs really that we're nowhere near close to even competing with the teams at the top of the league.

I dread to think how much the Dippers have spent this window now?!  Bordering on obscene.

Spent a lot but recouped a lot too. It's incredible how good Liverpool are at selling. Who else could sell someone who made 3 PL appearances for £25m? They are the model PSR club
  • I think the Guehi fee takes it close to £500m! Mental.

Tis strange how nothing gets made of the Liverpool spending in the media

Not saying they're doing anything dodgy, but they're no plucky side either
  • Nicolas Jackson to Munich is going through - loan with obligation to buy. €71m all in. Absolute madness.

very very true.  Cant believe they sold Quansah for £30m upfront.  They've always been good at selling those surplus to requirements.
To be fair, Chelsea seem to get top value for their rejects too.

Tyler Morton €10m, Luis Diaz €70m, Darwin Nunez €53m (ok it's Saudi), Kelleher €21m. That's insane levels of selling for mainly fringe players

Liverpool had a really profitable summer 24 window, making a net profit. A dream scenario for this summer really, winning a title and knowing that they could spend as much as they liked without any PSR or UEFA issues.

Looking at their dealings last summer, they sold Bobby  Clark to RB Salzburg for £10m. A year later he's back in England on loan at Derby County...

    Elliott £35m, Quansah £30m, Doak £20m.
  • why the f* do Bayern want Jackson? I'd rather have Simon Church
  • Feels like it's been an unusually busy day for the PL, the 7pm deadline makes a real difference

No depth up top behind Kane and wouldn't pay what Stuttgart wanted for Woltemade.
  • Villa nosedive has come from nowhere ?

  • Villa bringing in Sancho and Harvey Eliott on loan will be interesting to see.

Losing Rashford and Asensio from the second half of last season hasn't helped things. Also think they're very tight on PSR too.
  • Palace could be in trouble. Like us, their strength was their defence, and Guehi was at the heart of that. Unless they bring in players today, they'll be playing extra games in Europe with a weaker squad than last season's!

You don't get much for £20m rising to £25m these days - what the hell has Doak done to justify that fee?
  • Palace have just signed a 19yr old CB
  • Bizarre lack of announcements for the big moves yet
  • Sky Sports saying deal sheet in for Guehi.
  • why the f* do Bayern want Jackson? I'd rather have Simon Church
The loan fee is fairly expensive but he will do a job and i'd be surprised if they actually end up hitting the required number of games that means they have to sign him next summer. So he's effectively a cheap back up option for a year and Bayern will review the situation again next summer.
  • The Athletic reporting Guehi deal is off. So they will lose him to Liverpool for nothing next in July then.
  • Guehi to Liverpool deal has collapsed.

Or they'll sign him for a cut price fee in January for their second half of the season trophy push.
