Its wise of Glasner to put a spanner in the works, anything they'd achieve without an Eze replacement, let alone losing Guehi at the last hour would be tantamount to suicide... Especially with a Europa... Sorry... Conference League campaign.

They signed Pino from Villarreal as Eze's replacement.
Such a shame Guehi not leaving. I wonder how he feels. Could have gone to champions elect, Liverpool but instead stuck at Palace.. two players throw toys out of pram and get their moves. He doesn't and doesn't. Seems too professional not to carry on regardless but there must be a bit of bitterness there. I was hoping he would go cut price, Palace would struggle and Glasner would walk so this is annoying to the extreme.

Not the end of the world for him. Wouldn't be guaranteed to play at Liverpool, so now he'll play a lot for Palace, be centre back for England at the World Cup and then he'll be out of contract in the summer where there might be other clubs interested and he can possibly get a better contract offer.
Donnarumma joins Man City for £26m... that feels like a steal!!
Interesting that City have gone for the best shot stopper, rather than a keeper who's brilliant with his feet.
James Trafford must be fuming. Clearly would've thought he'd have the chance to be City's number 1 for years.
Trafford had one poor game with City and he was instantly replaced with Donnarumma. That blows. I'm sure Trafford was also touted to be City's longterm number 1. Isn't he from their academy? Romantic. Well, I guess he should have joined the red side of Manchester for a nailed spot.
Players like Isak and Wissa should get booed at every ground they play at.
Probably won’t make much difference, but they should know that their reputations are not respected if this is the sort of behaviour they’re going to encourage in the game.

But Guehi got his head down and played and didn't get the move he wanted.

In other words - he performed his job as stipulated in the contract he signed.
Liverpool had been linked with Guehi for weeks so i don't know why they left it so late. Even if Palace wanted to keep him to ensure they qualified for the conference league then Liverpool should've had a deal done and ready to be signed on Friday morning after the game.

With the Guehi move falling apart, players are now explicitly shown that you need to throw your toys out of the pram to get the moves you want.
Blame the teams for feeding into the poor decision making.

Rather than blaming players for signing contracts they don't want to honour?

Blame both. The worst thing Isak did for himself was not get his supposed gentlemen’s agreement put in writing and that’s on his agent

Allegedly Wissa's was in writing. Does that make his behaviour OK?

No but it meant he had a stronger hand than Isak did. Not sure where I suggested the behaviour from either of them was ok

Or Liverpool will just sign him in January.
