Hope I’m wrong but I fear Leicester will have a few moments of quality just enough to burst our bubble.1

I loved the time at Upton Park, but it was pretty shambolic at times, perhaps not surprisingly, as it wasn't our home and we had a tiny level of staffing back then. For our final game there, I remember the West Stand being packed with Newcastle fans, with no segregation at all.0 -

However, all the signs are they haven't started well and often catching these teams at this time of the season can be advantageous. We're full of confidence and riding our momentum from last year whereas they are desperately trying to refind some confidence and build momentum. If they underestimate us I think we could send them away with a bloody nose. If their first two games have given them a kick up the arse and they come into this motivated to and determined to fix that, then maybe we will get a lesson in how tough this division can be. It's a fascinating game but represents a decent opportunity for us.
2-1 Addicks. Fast start from us and Kelman scores first half, then they pen us in a bit. We bring on our finishers and Leaburn or Knibbs bags one on the break assisted by Tanto. Then they score and its backs against the wall until the final whistle. Kaminski to make at least one worldy save to earn us the three points.1 -
Whilst we worry about selling our star player, Ramsay, for maybe 7/8 million, Leicester are flogging their squad players for 10 million plus. It's a bonkers world out there! Meanwhile, Leicester have more or less forgotten how to win, so our determined heroes have a decent chance of grabbing the three points, although a draw is probably more realistic.0

1.Steve brown getting injured and getting sent off while being stretchered off
2. Bartletts screamer - goal of the season
3. Robbie savage being a twat
4. Di canio got a late winner against them at the walkers (I think)
Its a club with an interesting recent history and we've had some good games with them.
I'm excited for it.
A game plan: frustrate and wind them up. Hit them on the break when we get a chance to do so.
Prediction: I ain't got a clue.
To be fair, Robbie Savage was always a twat; seems to be like Nathan Jones, love him when he's on your team, hate him as the opposition.1 -

Was that the same match as the Bartlett goal?3 -

Flying back from Chicago yesterday, managed to convince a group of 6 American lads at the airport going to the Arsenal game at 5.30pm to also get tickets for our game at 12.30pm - every little helps!

3-1 Charlton with us to score first and a late consolidation for them. Lloydy yellow card in the first ten minutes as a statement of intent 😆2

Think Leicester may have a bit too much quality for us as good as our defence is. But then again I thought the same against Bristol City. Would personally like to see Knibbs get more minutes as he’s looked really dangerous both times he’s come o0

2-1 to Leicester.0

68/69, the biggest ‘official’ capacity league ground in the Football League, the team flying, crowds pushing 30k and a jam packed terraced Covered End with numbers in it that probably wasn’t far off what the two tiers have these days belting out
‘Oh Charlie, Charlie
Charlie, Charlie, Charlie
Charlie Wright’
seemed to work quite well.
’Kelman’ could be made to fit for ‘Wright’

Whatever the score, it feels so good to be back in the Championship this morning. On Sky, packed Valley, quality players who give their all, momentum, a manager who gets Charlton and knows exactly what he’s doing, a bit of underdog spirit. It’s a good time to be a Charlton fan. Maybe the best in a couple of decades.COYRs3

There's a Starman
And he wears number 30
