We're gonna win Don't wanna be a loser, gonna win 'Cause winnin' really is the only thing Get out of the way we're comin' in If you wanna fight, just step inside the ring Does anybody wanna take a swing? It's gotta be all or nothin'
1992 at Upton Park, Leicester bought thousands. So many fans that KO delayed and they had to open the chicken run. A couple of their songs were played over the tannoy to keep them happy, blue balloons everywhere, one of their fans on the pitch with a beach ball and scoring a goal (Bent wasn’t the first!). They were all over us. Mametz and I were sitting right behind our bench when Curbs got up and shouted our captain to come to the touch line. ”this will be interesting, to actually get to hear the tactics. What an insight “ I said. As he approached, Curbs cupped his hands to his mouth and shouted “SORT. IT. OUT.” We did and won 2-0. A great day, and their fans were outstanding that day.
I was there that day. There were so many of their fans trying to get in the story was the gates were just opened up to let them just walk in without paying.

Afterwards was a nightmare as well. Made the home fans stay behind after the whistle and when we were finally allowed to leave we walked into thousands of them heading for the tube station. Carnage.
As for tomorrow. Would rather have played them a few weeks later once all their "stars" had left. A lot tougher match than many are predicting.
All this stuff about a bad attitude; I'm taking it with a pinch of salt. When they step on to the pitch they'll be badly wanting 3 points. 3-2 Charlton.
That 92 game was a crowd control shambles, showing how far we've come. Imagine if that had been against Birmingham or Leeds.
Not sure you can call it a shambles. 3 years on from Hillsborough and you have to give everyone credit for how it was handled. A good following from Leicester that day was to be expected but I doubt anyone foresaw how many did turn up and how many would be late getting to the ground.
Another one of their players has been linked with a move to Ipswich. Hopefully this undertone of uncertainty continues to impact their performances on the pitch
McAteer joining Ipswich from Leicester for £12m rising to £15m. That’s the fourth decent player that has left, and El Khannouss following soon. That must be hard for fans and the team to take. I think we are playing them at a great time and we will win. (£15m! What on earth are Ipswich doing? A fool and his money IMO)
Is the Harvey Knibbs song based on ‘That’s the way I like it’ minus the ‘uh huh uh huh’? For me kicking the right way matters, lose the toss you’re already on the back foot …..but it might lead to an early goal for us, the first goal, and if that happens it will be tough for Leicester City. Everything is overshadowed by the poxy kick off time though in my opinion.

Reminds me of premier league days. Do they still play this?
Good feeling about this one. Have showed good motivation, positivity and some skill in the two league games so far. So, easy to see a 2-0 to them. 4-0 if we have the sending off that we are overdue.
I don't give a rat's ass if PNE had beaten them 28-0. They still overall have better players than we do at most positions and regardless of our good start to the season, we should not be arrogant to take anyone lightly.
Do think we can win mind but need to go at them from the off.
Charlton Athletic have lost just one of their last 11 league games against Leicester City (W6 D4), scoring exactly two goals in each of those six victories.
Leicester City won their last league game against Charlton Athletic 3-0 in March 2014 and will be looking to record successive victories against the Addicks for the first time since October 1990.
Charlton are unbeaten across their opening two Championship matches (W1 D1), keeping a clean sheet in both. The Addicks haven’t kept three clean sheets across their opening three league games of a campaign in the top two tiers since 1998-99 in the Premier League.
Leicester have failed to win any of their last nine away league games (D2 L7), their longest run on the road since a 15-match streak between May 2016 and February 2017.
This game will be Charlton’s 1,000th home league game in England’s second tier, becoming the 20th side to hit that milestone and the first since Burnley last season.

There's no way Nathan Jones will let the team be complacent in any way shape or form; he's built on ensuring the basics are done, playing ugly when needed and getting in the opponents faces. This why I feel Leicester will really not fancy this and if we can get on the front foot early, I see a similar game to Huddersfield at home last season.
21st August 2012, newly promoted Charlton at home to Leicester.
Jamie Vardy was just starting his career at Leicester and missed a couple of chances whereas Yann took his. You could see that Vardy had pace to burn but it was Yann Kermorgant chance to show that he had recovered from the panenka miss for Leicester in the play offs.

Yann's goal still hurts them now. Mention it as often as you can when speaking to their fans. 😉
Very tough game despite the defeat Leicester had.last week and they will have to bounce back. We are good defensively so it should be.tight but our run has to end soon and it might be this lot, 2-1 to Leicester.
Think we will win this more comfortably than most think. 3-1 Charlton. Leicester are there for the taking, struggling to adapt in their first few games including a League cup defeat… disgruntled fanbase who are not pleased with current ownership and their recent decisions as well as players leaving. I am sure they will steady their ship eventually but I have a few Leicester supporting mates who all agree that play offs would be a big achievement for them this season. Good time to play them, COYR.
1.Steve brown getting injured and getting sent off while being stretchered off
2. Bartletts screamer - goal of the season
3. Robbie savage being a twat
4. Di canio got a late winner against them at the walkers (I think)
Its a club with an interesting recent history and we've had some good games with them.
I'm excited for it.
A game plan: frustrate and wind them up. Hit them on the break when we get a chance to do so.
Prediction: I ain't got a clue.
5. Standing in the Miller Brothers electrical store in Merry Hill shopping centre at around 5:45, watching the TV that was tuned to the latest scores on Ceefax and losing my shit as the page refreshed and I saw Super Clive had equalised in the last minute. Drew a few strange looks staff and customers.
